I hope he gets looks next year in anaheim. ill probably watch him in san diego though

He may get a call up or 2 in Anaheim, but no chance he cracks the team. Ducks dcore is set in NHL for next year. Let him develop as long as possible in AHL. No need to rush him at all. He will be one of the top scoring dmen in the AHL next year and his confidence will be soaring. Id take that route over having young dmen stick and struggle through out the year in NHL at 20 years old any day.

I thought he was our best defenceman on Team Canada's gold medal winning team last year. It still bothers me that he was available when The Leafs picked #21 in 2013 but picked Gauthier in his place. This might be the best value pick of the 2013 draft by a team.

He wasn't suppose to be picked at 26th. Most people were thinking he was a mid-2nd rounder. That's simply a great pick from the Ducks.

Not so sure about that. NACS had him at 27 in their final rankings, CSS final NA rankings had him at 11. There were some scouting services that indeed liked Theodore.

Ya most scouting services had him outside the 1st. Even most Ducks fans were mad the took him that high.

A lot of fans from other teams NOW are saying they wish their team took him way higher in the 1st and saying now how much they have always loved him but actually at time of draft majority of people wouldn't have wanted their team to have taken him in the 1st, which is understandable cause a lot of rankings were outside top 30 for him.

He was always an impressive player but it wasn't till the season after his draft that he became a top NHL prospect and fans became more aware of him. One bold prediction at the time was I had thought on draft day CBJ was going to use one of their 3 1sts on him but they didn't.

I made a lot of "bold" predictions and thoughts about him throughout this thread since 2012 and I had many people disagree with me over and over, but its good now people loving him now too. Such a good player

Another homerun draft pick by the Ducks

we'll see, I expect he will make his NHL debut tomorrow, usually anaheim does not callup these young guys unless they are going to play them

hopefully he gets some offense going in Anaheim during this very odd offensive drought that's going on there!!

To be honest, defense has actually done a decent job of creating chances offensively. The forwards are the big problem.

But I'm not going to say no to Theodore, and I don't think he's being called up strictly for his offensive game. The team seems really high on him as a player.

Very solid first game in the Nhl. Didn't play a lot of mins, but was pretty reliable without making many mistakes

After game two, he looks like the best passer on our entire blue line. It's like every pass, even the stretch passes, are always tape to tape. He also doesn't need any time to find the right pass.

His passing is certainly what I have been mod pleasantly surprised by. When the puck is on his stick and he is under pressure he always seems to have his head up and makes hard, accurate passes to the right guy. Very impressed thus far.

I've not seen much of the Gulls but, damn, he looks like he is a keeper here. No need to send him down. I thought he will need this season in the AHL to round out his game. So far it looks like he took the step already.

He has certainly impressed me in his time up. He plays with a remarkable confidence in his abilities right away. He knows what plays he can execute and just does, without allowing pressure to affect the results of his decision making. He's playing precise, hard passes and shows strong vision. His gaps on the other side of the puck have been really good, and he's using his great skating to get to the right spots.

It's early, and it hasn't been the toughest assignments, but what he has been showing so far absolutely emphasizes his status as a premier prospect with enormous upside.
