It does when it happens in sudden death OT.
What has Sandin done to you for you to dislike the guy so much

got drafted by the leafs...What has Sandin done to you for you to dislike the guy so much
He got beat on that one, but it was also a really poor line change. Swedish forward changed when Russia had the puck, Morozov was allowed to rush in at full speed, totally uncontested and allowed to go anywhere. I played decently competitive hockey, the #1 rule of defending in the neutral zone as a forward’s is not to allow that. It’s really tough for the defender when you let forwards come at them with full speed and endless space/options.Sandin just got torched by the Russians in OT. ouch.

The play:
He let his man get the inside track. That's bad D 101 right there.
Wasn’t a good play for him, but he really was left out to dry by his linemates due to a bad change. Can’t let the Russian player enter the zone with full speed, completely uncontested, and totally open ice where he can go anywhere. The job of the forwards is to slow down the rush in the neutral zone, and force players towards the boards, away from the middle of the ice. When you don’t contest at all, and just give them endless space/options like this it’s really hard for the defender to stay in front of them.y.
He played a good offensive game today and i won't take that away from him. Smart plays on the PP. But that defensive effort was awful. He let his man get the inside track. That's bad D 101 right there.
Agree. Huge brain but average feet. He was great today though apart from the OT goal.Sandin was alright this tournament but he'll always be a liability if his skating doesn't improve.

The player was allowed through the neutral zone full speed. That’s F 101 right there and a very sticky situation for D to be in.
He was arguably Sweden’s best defensive player.
its craig button don't believe a word he says...
That goes against pretty well everything I have seen watching him for a year and a half in the AHL.I think his feet are well below average by NHL standards.

Swedish centre David Gustafsson was frustrated to see another blatant attempt to injure.
"It's the second game in a row," said the Winnipeg Jets prospect. "We're leading the game and they just go slashing. It's on our best player, too.
Sandin clearly the top defenceman this tournament. Yet another incredible pick (from the Soo of course) by Kyle Dubas. The young kid is showing why he’s so well respected throughout the league despite being such a young general manager. He really has lived up to his pre-nhl billing as “a hockey genius”.
Even without being a fan, it’s fun to keep tabs on Toronto’s season.
Haha what's wrong buddy? You okay?It does when it happens in sudden death OT.
Is that supposed to be a negative?Do you mean, another Jake Gardiner?
