I just picture the Wings drafting him and having a top pair of Power-Seider for the next decade.

with recent news I hope the Jackets can get him. We're pretty decent at LHD so if he's not truly ready for the NHL we can afford to send him back for seasoning, but in all likelihood we would have him in the NHL. Either way, I'd love to have him (as would any lottery team)

Any Buffalo fans want to chime in here? Would you guys be happy with Power or someone else going number 1?

I’ve always questioned this way of thinking. I get teams are excited to showcase the number 1 pick, but a lot of times another year of development wouldn’t hurt.

Back on topic, a Drysdale-Power pairing for the Ducks would be crazy for years to come

Happy?? No. I'm honestly completely indifferent to this draft. Don't care that we won it, don't really care who we take.

E: I also don't expect that we're getting an impact player either way. At least not until 3+ years down the road.

Same. Don't necessarily care who they draft. I do prefer building from the back end out.. so, get Power, get a young goalie, and the backend should be set for awhile.

He looked very composed against Russia. I'm not sure stepping right into the NHL next year on a team like Buffalo would be the best thing for his development but I don't think he would necessarily look out of place.

I think a majority of us would prefer him stay where he's at or get time in Rochester... or both. Considering the state of the franchise, would rather have the organization focus on slow cooking prospects than repeat poor development with the likes of Grigs, Mitts, Tage, and others.

Man, if you could teach Tage to hit the net he would be a hell of a player.

If I was Power's agent and he gets drafted by Buffalo, I would recommend he pull a Wheeler and not sign...

Not getting what you want sucks. Watching someone else have what you want and not care sucks so much more.

I've been a supporter of this franchise since before the Sabres lost to Philly in the finals - the last time this franchise was remotely relative is going on 11 years. Having a life long vested experience with a franchise that's been a part of my life over 45 years grants me the right to go sour for the last decade.

Might be happening? I don’t follow Euro hockey too close but I’ve seen Szemberg retweeted by some of the TSN insiders before I believe. He didn’t clarify what this means but the wording of this is odd to say the least....

Not sure if that is the most credible source. I haven’t heard that from anywhere else.
