Not a very good memorial cup for himself, or most of the Seattle team.

Agree. Actually quite disappointed with his inability to create and make skill plays. Took way too many low percentage shots and seemed indecisive when the Tbirds needed a spark. Prokop and Allan were far more consistent and had cleaner looks. Thought his best game was against the Petes but that was a major mismatch.

Yeah, Allan was pretty clearly their best defenseman in the tournament. I'm not even sure Korchinski outplayed Hanzel.

I was thinking last night I noticed Allan far more in a positive light.

I'm a big fan of Korchinski but he is 100% not NHL ready yet. He will be back in Seattle next season.

Heard a juicy rumor that he will be be dealt to Saskatoon next season for a huge haul if the Blades are a good contending team...it'll help recoup alot of the picks Seattle traded to become this powerhouse team

Yeah Seattle will lose so many top players that they probably won't be a good team. One the one hand, it would allow Korchinski to take more of a leadership role and would force him to shoot more and pass less - both things would be good for his development. One the other hand is would be good for him to be on a good team in high profile competitive games. I'm good either way.

Makes sense.

Not like Chicago is looking for him to jump into the league next season, so he's got the time to work on it

Ya Seattle will have a few guys to move out to recoup all their picks they moved and prospects and build around this next wave of Ratzlaff Iginla Sawchyn Myatovic Mynio Pickford etc etc.

They will take a step back next season forsure but I wouldn't doubt if the season after next they are contending again. GM Bil LaForge is a very smart GM and will get things rolling again quickly.

I wouldn't mind the Hawks selecting Sawchyn and Myatovic in the 2nd/3rd rounds.

Could very easily happen... Obviously Seattle had Korchinski, Allan and Dach playing so Chicago would have watched Seattle play ALOT.

Also Seattle's head scout Cal Filson recently took a new position for next season as a Chicago Blackhawks scout

Had a chance to watch him in the last preseason game against Minnesota, I don’t think they’ll make the team buy the Shea Theodore comparisons are apt, he’s a future PP1 QB
He will definately be a good one in Chicago and is in a great situation to have his career there. He will be a VERY rich kid in a few more years after a few seasons of putting up a ton of points with the group Chicago will be building.

I still feel he will 100% be returned to Seattle within 9 games and then will be dealt to a contender in the WHL for a Zellweger type return from last season. The rumor from the offseason is he will be dealt to Saskatoon for a kings ransom

Well he’s made the team after a very strong camp. He’ll be playing top 4 minutes next to Connor Murphy who is a very nice complement to his game. He’s already the best puck mover and skater on the backend.

I think some posters are having a hard time shedding their preconceived notions that KK was going back. Of course he could still get sent back. But based on the games he played, he’s ready for NHL action.

Going to be a learning process for him. Still needs to be stronger in the corners and can get lost like a lot of 19 year olds. I've even been down on him a bit as I expected a bit more growth on the defensive side this year.

That being said he definitely had a strong camp and is probably the 2nd best LD we have on the team.
