I am rooting for a bunch of Canadian kids NOT to make their NHL teams - it seems... wrong.
I think if he passes the 9 game test, the next test will be after 40 games to save a year of when he'd hit UFA, and they'd send him back to World Juniors and then to the WHL.

Canada has a potentially (very) interesting team for December but we need all hands on deck.

He had a very impressive preseason, looked good again tonight, and overall he’s showing early signs that he’s gonna be a special player.

Korchinski, Bedard, Reichel, Moore, Nazar, + 4 more 1sts in the next 2 years….come 2025/26 the Hawks will be absolutely loaded with top end young talent. Then you have kids like Guttman, Kaiser, Vlasic, etc. who are equally as young that project to fill out some of the depth roles.

This is the foundation of everything. Just the early stages of the process, but already a lot to like.

It's incredible watching these games and the amount of sheer talent Pierre Dorion has squandered. Every game you turn on is another ex Sen or a draft pick he traded flourishing.

Korchinsky looked incredible last night. Unreal mobility and wheels. Going to be special.

If it makes you feel any better Dorian probably wouldn't have picked him with that pick anyways haha

You know as well as anyone that the Senators were picking Kasper had they not traded that selection.

That I can agree with, but getting angry in the Korchinski thread when Kasper was their target doesn’t make too much sense to me.
I am not angry and I can confirm that Kasper was not the only target. They were both on the short list though. The point is Dorion is terrible with assets, he has absolutely no vision and there is quite clearly no plan.

Boqvist also had a hot start, they kept him up, and then he went on to struggle.

Can't make any decisions off of one game.
Boqvist doesnt skate like that or have those level of instincts. Its not just one game.

Korchinski is ready offensivelybut he has been a train wreck in his own zone, looks lost. First goal yesterday, and first goal today can be pointed to Him if we‘re pointing fingers.

Offensively he looks great but he's struggled big time defensively. I fully expected this to happen once regular season started.

Let him play all 9 games and see if his defensive game improves and then decide what to do. I think he will end up being sent back eventually.

Yeah if he keeps playing like this they should send him back to Seattle, the tools are there but the execution especially defensively has been poor
He has excellent puck skills and has been great at transporting the puck. But his defensive play has been terrible, frequent lost coverage, struggles to defend against speed, bullied in front of his own net and looks like a chicken with his head cut off at times. Potential is immense but his game isn’t there yet to be a full time contributor, he‘s too much of a liability when the puck is in his zone

Let him play at the WJR's!

His defensive play hasn’t been terrible. He’s had rookie mistakes like any other rookie, tonight I thought he was soft and a little lost at times, but he’s still learning. I haven’t seen enough to make a decision either way.
