It’s disgusting to be honest. That is way too much for a point every three games.

Leafs have Laughton at 1.5M next season, which is a huge plus. He'll add stability to the 3rd line and give us a versatile physical forward. Treliving finally pulled something pretty interesting.
People that don't think he'll be a center here and do much better than Domi and Kampf are out to lunch. We'll see how he fits though.
His points aren't his key attributes. That is way too much for a point every three games.
1 PK 2 PP 3C for Philly plays with an edge and grew up a Leafs Fan wanting to play for them and still does. How good is Scotty
Bro, completely different scenarios and returns. Jets got no retention and Tanev is a rental, plus it's C vs W, also a big difference in Laughton's favorThe
The 2 picks are garbage IMHO. The Jets just got Tanev for a 2nd rounder FFS !!!!
I think you are waisting Marner’s defence if you put him on a line with 2 defensive black holes like that.
Why do the hockey guys all refer to him as a centre, they all wrong?Garbage deal. Wasting a 1st on a winger instead of a defenceman is peak stupidity.
If you think the 1st is so far way, you should also realize the 4th and 6th are going to be non-existent as players for our Leafs !!!Love this alot
The 1st is so far away.
We get 4th and 6th
50% retention
He really isn’t very good defensively. He was playing wing most of the year cause Torts doesn’t like his defensive game. What are you going on about? Laughton is an above average defensive player who can also PK (1st PK unit on Flyers).
I'm shocked by how polarizing this deal is here for '27 1st protected (I'm assuming that's the condition?); I too was not a huge fan of the deal when it broke but once the details came out I'm a big fan of it. I don't think Laughton is a great 3C but he's definitely much better than any other current options we had and aside from maybe Schenn for the better offense, what better options in this price are realistically available right now?Lol. Firstly, he's a Center.
Secondly. You watched Leafs Playoffs games this decade, saw how many times they couldnt they lost 2-1 or 1-0 in Game 7 and thought, hmm, they need more defence????
They need more offence. The defence has always been more than good in the playoffs minus that one Jake Gardener year.
He’s an average bottom 6 player. He’ll try hard but not a difference maker. That’s still up to the core.On the trade board the initial tweet coming out was Cowan going to Philly in this deal and I was going to go INSANE on Brad for doing it if that were true. Losing Grebenkin and giving up a 1st still sucks, but it makes it a less bad deal. Hope it works out, but not sure how much difference he makes on the Leafs.
