He took me and my daughter out paid for dinner bought me beers. Was a perfect gentleman and my daughter thought he was kind classy and entertaining.

He also introduced me to a couple of scouts and a teams Dir of scouting after a game

Great time and my kid met and took pictures with Domi, Mattaa, and Horvat

So if you can go for it
Was it McDonalds followed by a couple Old Milwaukees or did he go cheap on you?

I'm curious if there is a breakdown of full season ticket plans vs. partial season ticket plans sold.

This is absolutely something I'd be down for. Went to Nassau with a group of 9 once and we got rowdy. I'd love to storm into Vegas with 10 or so and give the new franchise a taste of Black and Gold.

I`ll be the level headed, sane, rational DD who bails everyone out:laugh:

I'd put two teams in Vegas before putting one in Quebec City.*

*Hyperbole, but I would not put a team in Quebec City.

Quebec could not handle a team right now. That conditions need to be perfect tells you all you need to know about about a team in Quebec City. Crazy as it sounds Vegas is a way more secure place than any team in QC. We can say money grab to make ourselves sound enlightened all we want but at the end of the day Vegas is a way better choice than QC.

I'm the furthest thing from cheap as there is ;)

Two week vacation begins Monday, so I can miss all the happenings that are about to begin. Well, I won't miss it, but at least I won't have to deal with it:popcorn:

Have a good vacation! :)

First time Dallas plays in Vegas - Lindy Ruff calls for a team meeting at 9 AM. Does Tyler Seguin make it?

I still wish they had the 25% exposure rule to help the team at least get some decent players into the pool. Very interested for the protection items to come out

Just thinking out loud, but, speaking of the potential expansion draft...I think it's smart the way they're expanding. As nice as it is to have an even number of NHL teams, it's not necessary. Delaying the second expansion (Seattle, Quebec City, Toronto Deuce, Albuquerque, wherever) will actually make both expansion teams stronger.

There's no competitive expansion draft. You don't have to worry about another team stealing your guy - you can basically just take the best two (three?) goalies available, then take the BPA from the rest of the teams, and then adjust forwards/defensemen if you're imbalanced. Vegas should seriously have someone with optimization expertise involved in the expansion - let the scouts do the "looking by hand" and rank the players, have the geeks generate 10-20 possible drafts from a spreadsheet, with a few options for each, and let the eyeballs pick the best one.

There will be TWO of these single drafts, and they'll come at least 2 or 3 years apart. That gives the other 30 teams time to recover. It doesn't hinder the second team, as that team will have some up-and-coming players that weren't available before...and, heck, maybe they could poach from Vegas, and then Vegas could poach another 1 or 2 players in the second expansion.

It seems way better than a back-and-forth one year expansion draft for all parties.
