This is a kid who is incredibly motivated to get better day in and day off. Let time do its thing.

I think I read something somewhere about his choice of a smaller stick for stickhandling purposes was nerfing his shot potential but I dunno how accurate that is in reality.

Same physics as with a chuck-it for dogs. The longer the stick, the more force can be applied to catapult the ball (or puck). I might be mistaken, but it does seem this way.

yeah the physics seemed to check out but I wasn't sure if he was necessarily opting for a shorter stick than someone his size normally would use.

imo he doesn't need a cannon shot necessarily, he needs an above-average wrister.

he should be able to quickly skate into very good shooting position, picking good screens for himself, etc, and score 10+ goals like that every year.
