Prospect Info: Lane Hutson Part 2

On the broadcast they showed exactly what makes Hutson so dangerous in the offensive zone.

At one he had the puck at the point and pinched down, and literally all 5 Canucks players were all fixated on him (not to mention the goalie). This might have been on the goal he scored now that I think of it, but regardless, it happens all the time, he forces more than 1 defender to engage with him and it creates so much space for everyone else.

They’re not all used to it because sometimes even the Habs players get caught staring, but once they figure that out…

good patience waiting for passing lanes to open up. (There were a few examples tonight, like the pass to Gallagher, and his assists. )
He seems to be keeping to the left side of the o-zone a bit more lately, which helps with that. (On his forehand)

Oh man that OT goal the way he drew that defender over to him then fed it to Suzuki.

I can’t believe we’re adding Demidov to this team next year.

He's got to be the highest IQ player I've seen on this team in my 20 years pf watching.

Absolutely incredible, only 40 games in, he's our best defenseman and he just keeps getting better every game.
I wouldn't put him above Markov for now still. I see their IQs as similar.

Unlike Markov however, Hutson is more skilled.
