If Habs players could finish Hutson's plays and he had a bit more luck with his shots, he'd probably be tied 2nd or 3rd for points by a Dmen.

If this is what he's doing on a really bad team as a 161lbs rookie, I'm looking forward to seeing him in his prime!
He would have more points next season with Demidov and Laine coming back at 100%. Right now, we don't have a second line.

The NHL being what it is and certain dick players (and coaches) being what they are, Lane will need to keep his head up.

GG well played, again, today!

Will Lane finish with 50 assists and no goals ? hope he scores soon, he can score, he proved it in the NCAA.

He has a really weak shot but he is accurate and deceptive. Scoring goals in the NCAA does not prove in any way that he can do it in the NHL.

I will not bet against the kid but he really needs to work on his shot power as it is not much of a threat from distance other than being well placed for deflections.

Well then we're just going to have to put bodies in front of the net!!

He’s already 8th in points from his draft year and is on pace to pass Nemec, Korchinski, Jiricek and Poitras in the next few weeks. Also interesting that those defensemen are barely playing at the moment. Only Cooley, Mintyukov and Slaf have clearly established themselves earlier than him.

the backwards skating I think is ok yes?

A year ago I wasn't sure he'd be a Top 4 dman in the NHL. But he is, pretty much already, and he'll continue to improve defensively with seasoning. What he brings offensively more than makes up for the limitations he has defensively.
