He is nowhere close to being the all time leading scorer for dmen in the NCAA. Ron Wilson had 250 points including an 87 point season and I don't even know if he is the all time leader.

He has the all-time under 20 record doesn’t he? And he set the single season record last year.

I’m not sure how the hell he doesn’t wind up with a top three finish in either year. Last year he outpointed one of the finalists who was a forward.

Lane's next game is on the 11th. If BU loses, he can be signed and join Montreal for their final 3 games against Sens and Red Wings twice. If BU makes the National Championship, then his year will be over on the 13th, whether they win or lose. So he can join Habs for their final two games against Detroit.

If Habs sign him to an AHL ATO to join Laval, then he can join them for their final 3 games if BU loses on the 11th. And can join them for their final two games if they make the NCAA final and potential playoff run if Laval qualify.

Lane likely thinks otherwise. The top NCAA prospects always get a year off their ELC. And I'm sure management will oblige if that's what he wants.

It resulted in the opening goal. It was a bad play. We’d call it out no matter who made it.

But yeah, it happens to every player. Doesn’t mean anything in the grand scheme of things. I still think he’s going to be a key addition for us.

Funny enough, he’s been BU’s best all situation D all year, which is crazy for his style of play. He was used that way too in the WJC.

For him, it’s a big accomplishment no matter how we slice it. It will be up to Hugo and MSL to use him to his best and the team’s best outcome.
