And now comparing Lane Hutson to Bobby Orr. LOL
I thought Aprils fools posts were banned, apparently not.

He's actually an elite defender as well as an offensive genius. The eye test and especially the numbers don't lie. He's a forward playing the position of D.
Yes, there are a significant amount of them that are more interested in proving people wrong instead of supporting their team.
And you're a clueless fan who doesn't actually watch the player. Enjoy Michkov doing Michigan at inopportune moments! He's a forward playing the position of D.
Looks just like Montembeault, who should lay off the junk food and lose some weight, intermittent fasting, carnivore diet or something.. he should be in better shape he's a professional athlete.
Hard to get rid of lice...you're still here, aren't you...
The aprils fools joke was claiming Hutson is a forward, do you think it deserved serious answers?I thought Aprils fools posts were banned, apparently not.
Honestly it wouldn't surprise me, I've never seen a player like Hutson before. But I have to admit i don't watch that much outside of Habs games. I haven't studied Makar and Hughes etcBobby Orr 41 points as a rookie in 61 games
31 points in 46 games as a sophomore
64 in 67 in his third year!
Exploded for 33 goals and 120 points in his 4th season.
ppg went from .67 to 1.5 in 4 seasons
Using the same generational player scale for Hutson, he should be averaging 145 points a season when hes 24/25.

I never had a chance to watch Bobby Orr live, just the clips that everyone sees but Hutson really reminds me of Bobby Orr....he reminds me more of Q. Hughes every time I watch him play...he has that "waterbug" ability and sees the ice well, like Hughes does...neither had much of a shot when they got to the NHL, so I hope Hutson works on his shot like Hughes did...

just having fun with the orr comparisons, seems to trigger some folks...that was a VASTLY different Era where the play and the players were mostly MUCH slower than they are now...Orr used his great skating and incredible bursts to skate around everyone...Hutson can't do that these days...

Definitely wouldn't say he's been elite all year, but he has been since the 4 Nations. 2.25 ga/60 and a ~60% xgf% is elite over that sample.Don't be ridiculous.
Anyone who just watched the game could see it, well, all but the most bitter haters.Definitely wouldn't say he's been elite all year, but he has been since the 4 Nations. 2.25 ga/60 and a ~60% xgf% is elite over that sample.

So this is how it's done, isn't it?Definitely wouldn't say he's been elite all year, but he has been since the 4 Nations. 2.25 ga/60 and a ~60% xgf% is elite over that sample.

Are you illiterate or did you just not feel like reading the first part of my post?So this is how it's done, isn't it?
You take a sample of games and measure GA/60, no context, no nothing and you anoint a player as being "elite" defensively?
