I highly doubt the Kings gained anything in this trade.
PLD is now criminally overpaid and we traded away yougsters who actually started contributing.
The Vilardi loss will sting the KiKings
They must be betting that he can play on a team he likes a lot better than teams he wants to be traded off of ?

Also that one playoffs he looked like he was gonna be a superstar.

Who knows tho could go any which way.

Do you know the difference in age between Vilardi and Dubois? And take a guess who has been the more productive forward throughout his career.

This guy is just full of bad takes.
They are very similar in production right now, it's just that one makes $8mill and the other $3mill and is 1 year younger

Almost as much salt in this thread as on 1 order of a McDonalds large fries order
“These pretzels are making me thirsty”

Jets getting 3 usefull players that and Montreal’s 2nd round draft is the topping with the cherry o. Top.

Bonus is that it’s Montreal’s 2nd as they wanted PLD and their 2 nd will be much higher than LA‘S
That 2nd should be real high 2 nd as montreal is going to suck again.

I think it should also be stated that Hab fans lowballing offers for over a year due to their mistaken idea of “leverage” was proven to be asinine.

Not surprising because I said as much for over a year.

"Why would we give up any assets for him hes going to sign here in 2024 for free LOL"

Habs could have beat that offer. The Hets got a couple good players but did they get one guy who could develop into a core piece?

Vilardi, arguably, pending health.

Makes sense that he's the centerpiece as both him and PLD come with risks.

Not a core piece but Iafallo is an underrated very valuable piece of this trade, if he were on the east coast people would be comparing him to Cirelli. Sneaky good add.

Kupari is a mystery box but at worst a good checker with a big body and crazy speed.

It's a better package that it seems at first glance because most people don't know jack shit about the Kings (not @ you, just in general).

One player had 63 points, the other had 41. How is that similar? That’s like claiming Kupari is as productive as Cole Perfetti.
Not this again,

I value wingers per goals scored and center by points.
I thought that point already came across.

I expect a top winger to score 30+ goals and a top center to score 80+ points.
Compared to their roles both underperform but are young and enter their prime within 1-2 years.

I rather have a $3 mill 23 goal scorer with tremendous upside than a $8 mill 60 point center.

This is why i see this trade as simply not good for the Kings

Disagree, PLD has a great year with Fiala and whoever ends up cementing with them.
All 3 exKings who got Pegged, have an adjustment.
Vilardi gets injured again, thats why Blake dumped him.
Kupari's break out is derailed by at least another year.
Iafallo is bummed he cant surf and gets out when he can.
He lobbies the NHL for an expansion team in Honolulu.

If he stays healthy this year you'll get your 80+ points.

For someone who only knows Dubois through a stats sheet it might just be you who is making the bold statements. Dont worry you will be a Dubois fan soon enough. It will probably take seeing him play is all.
Save your breath, anything Blake does is a mistake to the good ole boys on the LAKi board, most of whom don't even live anywhere near LA

Dubois is the better player right now but seems to have character flaws but that shouldn't fly around drew and kopi. Vilardi I think tho has more potential and I think that's what the Jets are betting on. Dubois Is a 60 to 70 point 2 center. Vilardi? Right now he's potential

How good is the Jets chiropractor?
If you don't know, you will find out.

What line was he on up there in Peg?
I believe you but can you explain your reasoning?
PPG until the end of January last year until the hip started acting up. Kyle Connor also never looked better than when he played wit Dubois. He’s big, mean, at the top of the league in drawing penalties. Just needs to take a few less. But at least when he takes them he gets his money worth. It’s mostly for roughing or going after the other team in some way not little stick infractions.

He was on pace for 90 points before getting injured. He only missed 9 games but there suffered a major production drop off the last 25 games or so. The Jets as a team also had something like a 4% on ice shooting percentage from mid-March onward so that didn't help much either. He's been a durable for his entire career, so I doubt there is a repeat. He's easily an 80+ point center.

It’s kinda wild thing to say that a player who is yet to hit 65 points in his career is ”easily 80+ point center”.
