Suzuki was also the best forward on a Stanley Cup finalist in what, his 2nd season?

I like Dubois a lot but if we're projecting guys, I personally like Suzuki a lot more. He's been putting up 60+ points on teams that have literally broken league records for man-games lost. By the midway point of each season, he's on an AHL island line-up wise. Not to mention his defensive acumen is above Dubois. Suzuki is an excellent two-way player.
I like Suzuki too. It would have been a great 1-2 centre punch with him and PLD. Both are heavy guys, who play a strong game off the puck. But PLD might have never wanted to go to the Habs and was only using them to get to LA and grab the biggest contract he could.

Not sure how anyone could think that PLD used the Habs. If there's one thing that seems obvious about Pierre-Luc Dubois is that he didn't beat around the bush about where he was willing to go and where he wasn't.

If what PLD was after the biggest contract he could get, the very easy solution would have been to sit down and say 'pay me'. Not go through this whole song and dance with his agent and telling teammates he wanted to play in Montreal.

Sometime a duck is just a duck. PLD was willing to go to only a couple of big cities, which included both LA and Montreal. LA was able to offer the deal that enticed Winnipeg the most. Good for both teams.

Habs could have beat that offer. The Hets got a couple good players but did they get one guy who could develop into a core piece?

lol Suz has ice water in his veins. guy is captain in the toughest market. He's on another level than poor man's Vinny
how many sublevels of borderline 1c do exist?

and where exactly is Winnipeg going ? too good for a top pick and too bad to contend probably even miss the playoffs plus that core is probably leaving soon ( they didnt achieve anything anyways so probably better for you guys )

i can also add that Winnipeg is the worst market in the NHL so goodluck attracting UFAs

i take MTL anyday we suck today but our future is brighter then the Jets thats for sure

And we just started the rebuild in 2022
are their also sub levels in the pretender category?

Hence the +.
But there is nothing left on the Habs. Obviously Suzuki and Caufield are out. Dvorak and Anderson are, I will say not what the Jets want to be polite. The Habs don’t have the horses to compete with the Kings offer.

I highly doubt the Kings gained anything in this trade.
PLD is now criminally overpaid and we traded away yougsters who actually started contributing.
The Vilardi loss will sting the Kings

Do you know the difference in age between Vilardi and Dubois? And take a guess who has been the more productive forward throughout his career.

This guy is just full of bad takes.

Apologies to Kings fans for Ducks signing Terry as that apparently is somehow meaningful in this NEVER ENDING battle vs some habs fans.
Thank-you for somewhat explaining what is even going on I opened to this page and was like wtf is happening
