Agreed. Likely a lengthy stretch too.If Kupari isn't a healthy scratch for the Jets at some point next year, I'd be shocked.
So you went from claiming you didn't know who he was to saying he wont be in the lineup next year. How can you say that if you don't know who he is?Agreed. Likely a lengthy stretch too.
One of the biggest selling points for the Kings in this deal is the contract itself. It's considerably less money than most were expecting.
Funny how a guy who plays on the teams second and third lines - both here and in Minnesota - is somehow not a second line winger because of stats.Fiala is a second line player now? Might want to see how many left wings have scored more than he has the few years
Habs are the lucky ones................imagine giving up 3 players and a pick for that guy....Habs were offering one player, one pick and one prospect....and some thought it was too much.....I honestly thought he was going to be a Hab and that the Jets would get very little for him....Great deal for the Jets and a solid pick up for the Kings....I think the Habs are the losers here.....
Habs and all of their know-it-all fans that said we had to take what they offered.Habs are the lucky ones................imagine giving up 3 players and a pick for that guy....Habs were offering one player, one pick and one prospect....and some thought it was too much.....
Have a look at the Kings cap, now tell me who lost the deal?
Most habs fans did not want, and others only wanted at a certain price.Habs and all of their know-it-all fans that said we had to take what they offered.
Lol…I love people here who haven’t even watched the kings players…keep up the good work …Valardi, 24, is awesome, but played 63 games and has had a history of back issues, is he over it for good.? Who knows. He shot 19% , that won’t be sustainable….good player, tough to see him go. Does 63 games make you feel warm and fuzzy? Btw, he’s a winger not centre. Iafallo, 29; Swiss Army knife, but at $4M, he was a luxury, Moore will take over that role. Kupari,23,….nothing, super fast but nothing. 2nd round …ahh that sucked! Now PLD, 25, …best player in the trade. 2C on playoff team, entering prime, needs to work faceoffs and two game
Definitely a home run or strike out swing …but it’s not as one sided as most ppl on here will believe, same ppl said the same about danault and he’s been fanastic!
As I mentioned, I was talking about their know-it-all fans. Most habs fans did not want, and others only wanted at a certain price.
Kings have made a big mistake...
Habs made a take it or leave it offer. Jets asked for Dach which is a no go and better than what they got. LA will likely regret the trade soon.I honestly thought he was going to be a Hab and that the Jets would get very little for him....Great deal for the Jets and a solid pick up for the Kings....I think the Habs are the losers here.....
Every fan base has those....As I mentioned, I was talking about their know-it-all fans.
I think PLD signed where he wanted to sign so those worries are unwarranted. All pretty spot on. I don't like the trade, but the more posts I read from people who blow things way out of proportion the better I like it.
I don't think the majority of King's fans really care one bit about losing Iafallo or Kupari. I certainly don't. In some ways it's to LA's benefit. It opens up spots for young players to get an opportunity. Iafallo isn't some game breaker. He's a safe player who plays a solid, vanilla game.
Kupari, with all his speed and talent, is incredibly frustrating to watch. He'll do something good, and then follow it up with 36 things that make you think, WTF was he thinking. He looked good in Ontario, but hasn't been able to bring much of that to the NHL yet.
Just because those players were added to the trade doesn't make it some massive haul for Winnipeg. I've watched these players in all their NHL and most AHL (Kupari) games. Whatever the expectations are, I doubt they're any where near reality based on some of these posts.
To me what makes this a bad trade for LA are the rumors / question marks about PLD's effort and attitude. That's about it. Because in Vilardi, we had a player who was immensly talented, just getting into his groove and showed all the signs that he could be a player just as effective without any of the perceived attitude or effort issues.
If those concerns about PLD are hogwash, then it's a much closer trade than people make it out to be and it'll boil down to PLD vs Vilardi + 2nd.
Vegas paid less in their package for Jack Eichel and Eichel is a far superior player than PLD.
Just shows that Eichels contract at 10M per isn't as bad as many think when you compare it to PLD's new contract.
Yeah no clue what that poster was talking about. You can tell not many people actually watched the jets or blue jackets.Physical greasy game is exactly the game Dubois plays. He did it less effectively in the second half of the season while he was dealing with a hip injury, but when he's healthy he is exactly the player you're saying he's not. That would be my biggest concern if I was a Kings' fan, can Dubois play the game that makes him effective and stay healthy?
It was super generous of them to offer anything at all, seeing as they could just have him for free in a year.Habs and all of their know-it-all fans that said we had to take what they offered.
What?! Lol Vegas gave up way more what are you talking about.Vegas paid less in their package for Jack Eichel and Eichel is a far superior player than PLD. Just shows that Eichels contract at 10M per isn't as bad as many think when you compare it to PLD's new contract.
If that is the case and he brings his expected 60-75 points along with a good compete level, then the trade is far from lopsided, of course depending on how Vilardi develops and who the Jets take with the 2nd.I think PLD signed where he wanted to sign so those worries are unwarranted.
He never wanted to be in Columbus or Winnipeg.
