Apparently this is your first year reading Kings fans complaining about Kopitar "disappearing" during December/January, and use his lack of goals as evidence of his disappearing act?

Gold star to Brad Doty. I was getting worried that I was losing my sarcastic touch.

Well good thing you decided to come piss in the pool, it was too happy in here otherwise.

Canucks are not a very good team to begin with and they were missing some important guys, but that was an ass whipping from pillar to post. I can't really remember Kopitar and Toffoli playing together very much if at all in the past, but they had good chemistry out there. Glad to see the Kings dismantle a lesser opponent.

Hopefully they keep it up tonight.

I'm sorry my sarcasm directed at people who ridiculously criticized Kopitar spoiled the party mood.

Just keep going with this narrative, because it's obvious that you can never find fault with Kopitar. He had a great game against what will probably be his weakest competition this season. Glad he dominated, it should be expected.

McCann is a great pickup line. "You have the best set of McCanns I've ever seen! *Doughty laugh*"

THE HAMMERING OF HANK: Henrik Sedin is dealing with enough — take your pick of a hip-flexor ailment or a back injury — and playing through pain is one thing. Being drilled early into the sideboards by Brayden McNabb on a hit that clearly targeted the captain’s head is something else. McNabb got a roughing minor and Alex Biega a double minor for roughing in challenging the Kings’ defenceman.

“I thought it was a flying elbow to the head,” said Sedin. “The ref said it was a clean hit and I haven’t seen it yet but you’ve got to trust they’re making the right call and if they’re not, the league has to look at it. For me, the only point of contact on me was my face.

“I was surprised nothing worse happened. The only mistake I made was not staying down longer (after being hit) but that’s on me.”

I mean, he feels he should have faked injury longer to draw a penalty, and openly expresses that. I'd be pissed if someone on my team expressed this. This is not the attitude of a winner.

I'm not going to be shocked when McNabb gets a game or two because of the giant bubble of whine that just popped over Vancouver, but I'm going to be pissed and I hope DL throws that "but there was no intent to injure" rhetoric right on their doorsteps.

I don't think it was a totally clean hit, btw, but I don't think the principle point of contact was the head like they keep trying to sell; I think it was a good hit gone bad because of awkward angles and contact points, and McNabb's loppy balance at the moment brought his arm up into sedins lowered head.

I too was shocked at the chemistry on that whole line really but it worked on a slower opponent, not sure they can take advantage against a better team, though it certainly looked nice having Toffoli and Kopitar together. Maybe try Pearson-Kopitar-Toffoli and Lucic-Carter-Gaborik to jump start people :)

Meanwhile Clifford is still out and Hedman didn't even get a call. But the NHL has our back, right?

I'm worried that Clifford may miss much of the rest of the season.

Will be hilarious if McNabb gets suspended. "But he didn't mean to not hurt him!"

Hipster in the front row with the 2 size too small vintage jersey.

If it doesn't have full arm sleeves it's not a vintage jersey. Pretty boy trying to be cool.

This thread has more win than the Kings last night. Pure gold.

The bolded bother me even more. Typically crybaby, calling for a head shot and you haven't even looked at the play to look at what your complaining about.

I get where you're coming from but I read that more as Sedin trying to call out the league for only punishing players if the result is an injury.

Yeah, I just think there's no way Henrik whips around into the boards like that from the head contact. If he did, he'd have been unconscious. Initial contact was the hip, could see that Nab should have been given 2 minutes for elbowing on the follow through. I don't mind the league taking headshots seriously but if we're talking more than a 1 game suspension, that's total bull.

the league just needs to be ****ing consistent with this ****

McNabb wasn't the cleanest hit but if you're going to hand out suspensions for borderline stuff like that, do it for EVERY borderline hit like that, not just the hits on star players

That was his second mistake, the first was reaching for the puck with his chin.

Clifford needs to retire right now and hope it isn't already too late.

LOL ****ing Ranger fans are something else. Has there been a thread about Quick or the Kings success that didn't have their entire fanbase *****ing about the Kings being a top defensive team? And I love how they blatantly ignore the fact that their team is also a very good defensive team (top 10 consistently and even top 5 in a few seasons). If Quick is a product of the system, Lundqvist is too. Their bottoms are still sore from 2014.
