Now when the Kings are winning I am surprised it hasnt been closed yet...
Typical HF. Kids all over the place, trolling, fortune tellers/whiners all over the place and after a bump: closed. Its not allowed to call them out. This place pretty much sucks.
I was actually hoping for that. Now we have to pay big $$$ while you could have known he would break out this season.

But it helps the Kings today that the contract isn't bigger. At this point, in some ways Lombardi is going year to year. Getting Toffoli for somewhat cheap now means you have more space for other guys, on a team that already has to dance around the cap.

Not sure I like that idea. Really happy with the TLC lineup. If it works, why change?
Kings played a really really good road game- clogged up the center of the ice and didn't give a skating Jets team much room to maneuver. Scored at opportune times and Quick played well. On the Jets side, Ehlers looks like the real deal- what a release. Early yet but the Western Conference looks like it might be a battle to the bitter end so early wins are important. Except for maybe three teams (Colorado, Calgary and Edmonton and who even knows for sure about them?), it looks like each of the rest of the teams could just as easily be out of the play-offs as in. Of course, this assumes that Anaheim will soon start putting it together.
I was wondering if anyone here noticed the faces of Carter and Lucic had when McNabb passed by the Kings box after Toffoli's empty netter? They had their hands out for the congratulatory fist bump and McNabb ignored Lucic and Lewis hands. Lucic saw him with a "what the heck?" look and Carter was also staring at McNabb. Is there any conflict between players? Just wondering.....

It might benefit his game to put him with Clifford and Nolan, because then Kopitar is forced to be the guy on a line. By my count, Kopitar has 34 goals since Gaborik got here. 19 since Game 7 against Anaheim, which is now 100 games ago. All 3 this year have come in situations where he wasn't on the ice with Gaborik.
I'm sort of kidding on that, but they have 1 line working well and scoring at the same time right now. Don't mess with that line until you have to.
Right now Carter and Toffoli are gelling too well to split them up.
If they slide this would be something to consider

What has Carter done to get punished?
Saw a stat posted on Twitter about Brown having 12 goals in the last 100 games.
That's a scoring pace one would expect from a Trevor Lewis and not from a guy making close to $6M per year.

Why is it that Sutter needs to constantly be looking for ideas to get Kopitar's offense going?
Maybe they should move Kopitar to LW and put him with Carter and Toffoli.
He's his own worst enemy. He can't finish now, for some reason. He gets all jittery and fumbly and he can't finish at all (in the slot, at the goal, etc.). I've come to expect some kind of ****-up when he gets the puck.
Damn shame. He needs to settle down before he's going to score much.
