Jeanie Zelasko... Not sure why we suddenly have her on our broadcast but the difference between her and Alex Curry/Heidi Androl is night and day. Zelasko actually sounds like she knows what she's doing.

Think it's awful, and something I never remember him doing until very recently. Call me old school, but I prefer a more professional broadcast like the ones we heard growing up in SoCal with guys like Miller, Hearn and Scully. But Fox is far from the only guy in the league cheerleading in the booth.

Sadly that's the style many prefer these days.

Too bad because Fox is a decent analyst otherwise.

I think after all the years of the Kings sucking it, now that's he's seen two cups he's just enjoying his time in the booth as a fan. Not sure what else he has to gain in his career, seems like he's just to the point where he's said "**** it, gonna have fun", right or wrong.

He's definitely been looser with B. Miller gone. Maybe some father/mentor thing there for J. Fox to consider. Dad's absence means it's time to look over your own shoulder, Jim, and not forget everything he taught you.

Right, and more relaxed because she knows what she is doing. I like her.

As a fan, I get tense hoping the Kings interviewer won't say something dumb or cringe-worthy. Memories of Dan Moriarty, God bless him. (Hope he's in the right niche now.)

I think Alex is with the Angels in Spring training. She was/is a step above Heidi for sure. But Jeanie is a pro all the way.

I was thinking the same thing. Go Go Zelasko.
 
Yeah, seems like Fox has been like that since the winning. I don't know what's more annoying, the reaction like that after a goal, or what seems like a constant need to reassure everyone that the Kings are still good if something doesn't go their way. It's a little much.

Good 1st period, not so good 3rd period. 2 points is 2 points. Plenty of things to work on and get going before the playoffs.

She definitely a seasoned pro. You can tell she's a full alpha in the press scrums firing off one question after another, even though she does ask some inane questions "what can you take away from this win?" DS: "1st place"

To JW: Are you expecting to hear lots of booing from the fans tonight?

WTF is all I thought after she said that.
