Watched the interaction (or lack thereof) between Luongo and Gallant the last four minutes of the game.

There wasn't any. Gallant refused to look Luongo's way the entire time. I kept expecting him to pull Luongo but it became increasingly clear as time went on he wasn't going to. Completely befuddling. I remarked that Florida conceded the game.

Something was going on on that bench, and it wasn't good.

Could've been worse. Could've been Mario Tremblay and Patrick Roy.

Pull the goalie when down by three in the first quarter of the regular season? Don't think I've ever seen that. One? Sure. Two? Ok. Three? No chance.

Felt like a game we might manage to lose somehow until we tied it up.

In retrospect a really great 60 minute effort.

I guess you have missed Colorado games over the past three seasons.

God damn, you guys remember that one time when Drew Doughty made that one timer....

The shot by Doughty on the pp was his best shot in two years. Compact , very little backswing and...ON NET!

Nice to see the kept after the Panthers when they knew they had them on the run. Sold second period, and if not for Lou, probably could've been 6-1. Stopped Lucic and well... then there was Lewis.

Guess I missed Halley's comet....err I mean Doughty's goal. :D

Comet Halley ain't got nothin' on that.

Bummed I missed 1st and 2nd period but the W surely is welcome. Shot totals looked crushing after two against CBJ and again today. Glad they were finally able to convert at will.

It IS curious that they've been so dominant in the 2nd period; maybe the corsi weardown effect happens bigtime because of the long change and icings?

I'm worried about the start of the third after that. Luckily we were solidly in control today.

Top of the Pacific *****es!!!!

Don't worry Lewis, You'll get one in the next game.

One timer? What is that? I didn't think that was allowed on the Kings.

Edit: I would like to add that on 2 of the goals, Carter/Doughty, there was a pass that forced the goalie to move laterally and wasn't just sitting there ready to get hit in the chest with the puck. Also with the traffic it looked like Bob had issues seeing the pass. More of this, less shooting from anywhere into a set goalie.

Don't disagree with anything you're saying really, but the better teams won't give us many opportunities for many lateral plays, and our system, unfortunately, actively discourages it in many cases (as throwing the puck in front from behind the net and centering passes are sure turnovers if not SOG). The only players you see really being 'risky' with the cross passes are those that haven't been brainwashed by our system yet ;)

Doughty scores from the circles. No shock there. He's not good at the blue line scoring. He's good at working his way in to the goal.

Beautiful pass by TT on the first goal, but as Brad Doty mentioned, those plays are just hard to come by for any team, much less the Kings who play a bigger game along the boards.

That line is certainly been a pleasure to watch though.

This happens at every single team board on this site, not exclusive to this board.

Losses spark more of a discussion than a win over the Florida Panthers.

Yeah, I mean, what's there to discuss? And I don't mean that negatively, I'm literally looking for ways to extend the happy thoughts :)

How about "what could we bottle up from that game and keep doing against stronger opponents?" I really like the idea of the Forbort/McBain pairing and I'm eager to see how it plays out against a better and/or meaner opponent.
