Look at him. He looks much sharper.

What pic is from this season ?

Well we know it's not the one on the left. :biglaugh:

Though I guess they ware fakes away from the rink.

I've been on his wagon all year. The minutes he is playing and the way he is playing are going largely unnoticed.

his first couple games were pretty ugly but I distinctly remember his game doing a complete 180 and that started when he was paired with Doughty. I think that increased his confidence a lot, hes making strides this season :handclap:

Here we go...

@ CLB - Win
@ PIT - Win, Fleury gets chased out of the net despite none of the goals really being on him
@ BUF - Win, although Eichel pots a goal
@ OTT - Win, Karlsson gets skated around with ease by Doughty
@ MTL - Win
@ TO - Win

He's averaging 21.5 minutes a game and with only seconds of that being PP time. He's been very solid. I don't know if Hudson Fasching will ever turn into anything, but getting McNabb and 2 2nds for Fasching and Deslauriers looks like a damn good trade. A dirt cheap young guy who can play minutes like that on one of the best defenses in the league? No brainer.

You know, I did notice Stamkos is trying to play a 200 ft game - he broke up a couple of Kings plays when he was backchecking, but I was mostly impressed how tight Tampa seemed to grip their sticks on the powerplay: passes too hard, one-timers flubbed, etc.

Here's a picture from a reddit thread about our abysmal powerplay last year:

Nothing has changed that I'm aware of.

its a curious phenomenon for sure. Tampa Bay has SO MANY skilled players that are capable of doing damage on the PP, I dont understand why their PP is so anemic. it sort of reminds me of the Kings when Jamie Kompon was in charge of the power play lol. nothing but hot garbage

The whole Toronto thing is way overdone. It's like listening to 710 here about the Lakers. How much can you really say about Kobe and a team that has won 3 times in 20 games?

They are catering to a Canadian audience and in particular a Toronto market. I get that. But as you said, digging down into the minutiae of Bernier's brain is going a bit overboard.

Did you notice how they avoided the whole Sparks thing when he got lit up in his second game?

Yeah- I laughed at that too it was so obvious. I thought he was the second coming of Jacques Plante the way they talked him up after his first game shut-out. 6-1 against the Jets and their rookie goaltender shut them up pretty quick. I used to watch Hockey Central pretty avidly but now not so much. I think the whole Sportsnet experience around the NHL has soured a lot of fans, myself included. I'll catch the Kings and Flyers though through the regional broadcasts on Center Ice, which I still subscribe to.

@ CLB- Regulation Win.
@ PIT- O/T Loss
@ BUF- Regulation Win
@ OTT- Regulation Loss
@ MTL- Regulation Loss
@ TO- Regulation Win

7 out of possible 12 points. Lots of rest between games except for Buffalo, next day after Pittsburgh.

Hey, that's our usual powerplay! (Except Kopi is on the half wall.)

I think Brad Doty was right that it was a little too obvious that the Lightning (understandably) wanted to get the puck to Stamkos, and that's why the Kings seemed to be able to get their sticks on the puck to break up those cross ice passes quite a bit, and the Lightning put too much mustard on the puck to try to force the issue as a counter. Kinda like banging your head against the wall.

I really can't wait to see McNabb in the playoffs. The opposition team is going to lose their **** when he destroys (or tries to) one of the forwards from the other team. Also hoping that Brown picks up his hitting come playoff time and that it will jump start his offense.

I viewed it on mobile, and the top right one is the one where he has the most amount of facial hair, and his face appears to be thinnest, which also happens to be the most recent training camp shot.

ok makes sense. Yet, that pic from top right corner is actually from 2013.

Its 2015-2016-2014-2013.

As former noun, I also notice a slight regression of the hairline. I would advise minoxidil and perhaps later on propecia (together with a medical attest or whatever you call it in english otherwise he fails with a doping test). :naughty:

Yeah it does look like Doughty has a receding hairline. He might want to avoid pulling a Jose Theodore though, http://espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=2325068

Maybe he could rock the Al Iafrate hairstyle:

Haven't really noticed McNabb hitting this year to be honest.

Yeah I started losing my hair in my late 20's. I woke one day and shaved my head and haven't done anything different since then. If you lose your hair, you just have to embrace it. Trying to fight it with magic pills, potions and surgery just make you look like an idiot. the way I look at it, I no longer have anything shading the solar panel on my sex machine. On the positive side, I spent $0 on haircuts in the past 7 years or so.
