LAK 2 - VAN 1 - I don't want to set the world on fire

He doesn't even lead the team in hits anymore. Even when he was struggling, that physicality was always there. Lucic has more hits than Brown does. Sad.

I'm not worried about him being below Lucic, because that's what Lucic does, too; I'm worried about him being behind Trevor Lewis for 3rd on the team, 25th in the league. Even last year he was 14th, and before that was always top 10 if not top 3 (or tops!).

He's a play driver, that's for sure, but it's a luxury we can't afford at some point.

these are very positive stats, both for dustin and for lak. plus it seems that sutter is doing a good job with team and chemistry building after a poor start.

i understand the cap-related criticism when it comes to big guns performances like dustin (or anze), but it's often impossible to convert the players on and off the ice impact into $/per year.

imo, lak needs a calibre like dustin to win the cup, this year and next year and maybe even latter. and ideally one day a home grown youngster will step into his big shoes.
