The Kings were on the wrong side of these type of games, too many times last year.

It is , what it is. On to the next game. Sharks lost as well, so that's good.
 
We crushed that team from beginning to end. So unlucky to not win in regulation but full credit to get the two points.
 
Can only fault the lack of finish that prevented what should have been an easy regulation win. Markstrom was the difference. But they found a way.
 
This 3-on-3 format is a godsend to the Kings. Imagine if they didn't change to OT format and most of these games were decided in a shootout. I shudder to imagine what the record would be after what we witnessed last season.
 
The record for OT losses in a season is 18 I think. The Nucks are well on their way to smashing that record.

That is true.

If Lewis had any finish, he would have priced himself out of LA by now.

Two gift turnovers
But also
2 goals off those gifts.
How bad would we be feeling if the Kings hadn't scored Saturday or today off those gifts
 
They never deviated from the system. They didn't have to, since they were getting so many good chances, but it was a little like watching grass grow. Markstrom just kept making saves.

Like was said, that's an extra point they weren't getting last year. Take the points and go into yet another multi-day break.

Kings miss playoffs with terrible OT/SO record.
NHL changes OT to 3v3.
Kings successful in OT games.
Coincidence? I think not.

Starting to play "Kings" hockey. Just destroying opponents on possession while limiting shots against. Just gotta start dominating at the dot.
