Lecavalier and Schenn with nice debuts.

Gaborik played with more pep in his step. Carter with a goal.

And, of course, a win. Those are nice too.
 
Quick was just in godmode at the end there. Gabby was playing on another level tonight as well.

VL and Schenn didn't look half bad in their debuts. Vinnie actually wasn't as slow as I thought he'd be. What a win though, and **** the Leafs big time.
 
Leafs won the December cup so we'd better show some respect and not celebrate this victory. We're such a boring and system team.
 
We need Lewis out there for the empty netters everyone knows this
 
Those last two minutes were intense.

We had a lot of good opportunities just couldn't finish. Credit the leafs. Back to back and they played a really physical game.
 
Gabbo had a real nice game. Quick was a vacuum at the end there. Leafs surprised me.

Vinny looked like a natural fit out there, real short shifts, but he was effective. Schenn looked nervous to me, some awkward plays on his backhand but I bet he'll improve. Take the 2 points and move on.
 
Good game. Fun game. Fast.

Gabo looked real good, like his old self. Vinny and Schenn not bad.
 
Nice to beat these scrubs. It was also good to see the new additions have a decent game and get entrusted with some tough minutes. Might instill a bit of confidence in them.
 
Schenn tied up a stick at the end that could have easily been a goal. He looked solid as hell out there.
 
Take the win, but man how can anyone be happy with the officiating tonight. Both retaliation calls were direct results of the officals not calling the original penalties.
 
So far so good for 44 + 52. 96 is probably the number of points to clinch a playoff spot, so...
 
We were actually insanely dominant, but good systems play and coaching on the Leafs and our inability to finish kept it close and intense. Leafs are good, no shame in admitting that, but nice to get the result that was deserved. Reimer had a hell of a game as did Quick.

Nice to see Carter back but gonna take a minute to get a rhythm.

If we get THAT version of Vinny, what a beast 4th line C.

If we get THAT version of Schenn, it's Matt Greene with a slightly better puck touch, just as advertised.

Still dunno how we can't draw blatant calls, but taking stupid penalties in retaliation nearly cost us.

Quick just stat padding now, he's in tip top form lately.
 
Hopefully we don't have a Clifford situation with Toffoli, he didn't look right after that hit
 
Nice... taking out the garbage....

44 with an assist in his first game.... now to the main boards!!!
