That is where the goal was but he was shooting more.
He had 5 shots on goal something he only did 3X in the entire season.

Oh okay. Yeah it did seem like he was shooting more. King is good on the boards, probably helps take some board play off of Kopi who does it a lot.

scariest moments from this game was watching Scuderi and Schenn on the PK. I had to watch with 1 eye closed.

Scariest moment for me was the PK towards the end, where Kopi broke his stick and you could see even Doughty was gassed just standing there.

Because King is a better player. This is the playoffs and its a game of who makes the least mistakes. Even when AA was on fire during the end of the regular season, Sutter noted during an interview that his defensive ability was questionable. We saw that in game 1. King, unlike AA, is able to get in deep in the offensive zone and cycle the puck. He is also better defensively, which is critical considering our defense is in shambles.

But he doesn't, biggest myth on the team. King is too slow to get to the puck much less keep it on his stick.

King is 1,000 times better on defense the Andy.

Think back to that Kings/Hawks game 7 they won. Sutter benched the 4th line, played Lewis 5 mins or so. King logged 18 mins or so. He was not out of place defensively against the best lines in the NHL. He is also around 230 pounds which can cause problems for smaller D in the corners.

I dont know about his possession numbers but hes really strong along the boards and is huge for keeping the puck in the O zone, hes good at wearing players down by being physical too

Was that the same PK where Doughty got away with tripping someone? I was legit shocked we didn't go down to 3 men there.

I never thought for a second they were going to call that.

Pavelski(?) went down easy, and there was no turnover or change of possession on the play. It didn't even affect the play period actually, pass was already made. You could see the ref lecturing him after saying something like "stay on your feet." Obviously I'm biased, but I thought that was a great no call, and the ref clearly saw it and decided he wasn't going to reward him for that.

FWIW that happens at all levels, refs seem to think you shouldn't be ******* around with the puck on the PP since you have a man advantage anyway so if a PKer takes you out they lean towards letting it go and rarely call it in my experience. Remember when Pearson got slide tackled?
