A friend and I were talking at the game last night about the strength of the Pacific teams and the difference between them and it seems to boil down to leadership. Not just the top guys but all around.

Sharks - WCF a couple of times and Fail. Leadership questionable.

Ducks - Getzlaf and Perry with a Cup centuries ago. Kesler Bieksa SCF and Fail. The ex St. Louis guys Fail. That team is being driven by young guys with no experience. Now Perron is done.

Kings - Top to bottom multiple Cup winners. Additions of Scuderi 2 Vinny 1 and Versteeg 2.
Nobody wants to play the Kings in the playoffs.

It's a great time to be a Kings fan.

It would be weird seeing Brown on the team without the C. I imagine it could lead to awkward instances in the locker room, as well (assuming Brown stays). Unless Brown just outright wants Kopi to have it at some point. It probably doesn't matter, but it's interesting, nonetheless.

In any event, Kings are rag-dolling and/or out grinding top competition and Versteeg doesn't have a shattered foot!

Yeah, I don't think it's a coincidence that Lombardi acquires guys who have been to the top and know what it takes to win. This team is stacked top to bottom with experience.

I don't think Kopitar would even accept it as long as Brown is on the team. It won't happen.

Dean said in the Versteeg conference call that he looks for players who have been on the big stage. This team is mentally bulletproof. I'm so thankful for many things, but above all else, it's the mental toughness this team displays. They don't ***** and moan, they just get down to business. Lundqvist's remarks and actions during the last game were shameful and pathetic. I'm glad no one on this roster acts like a petulant child.

Dwight King doesn't fight a lot. But when he dose he seems to fight the toughest guys on the other team. He should be fighting middle weights, i don't under stand why he picks heavy weights. He's got guts.

He's 6'4" 230 lbs and toughness runs in the family. Note that he's never actually picked a fight, he just hasn't turned them down. He's only been in 6 NHL fights:
