Outshot 23-7 in the 2nd and 3rd periods. Basically the 3rd period against the Caps for 2 periods. If Versteeg isn't out for at least the rest of the regular season, I'd be surprised.

Ended up 13-2-1 at home against the East, 7-7-2 on the road, 20-9-3 total. 11-2 in regulation at home, 2-1 in OT. 3-7 in regulation on the road, 2-1 in OT, 2-1 in the SO. A total of 14-9 in regulation, 4-2 in OT, 2-1 in the SO.

16-12-4 against the East last year, so 43 points this year instead of 36.

So many numbers.:amazed:

Yeah Versteeg is possibly dead, that's a bone shatterer :/

O'D pointing out that we played 5 of the top 8 teams over the last several nights, 5-0. Boom.

Noooooooooo if he's out the rest of the season we are forced to see Andreoff.

Kings over the last month...

Wonder if I could use an F-16 to sear a steak? It'd probably taste like rocket fuel, but this kinda reminds me of the rocket stove I was designing to grill a steak close to 1,000 F. :) The project got put on hold. Trying to locate a "safer" environment to field test.

Bruins played a good game. Quick was on fire. I had about 10 heart attacks during this one.

Also want to apologize, I forgot to bump the "Brown Sucks" thread on the main board before game time. No goal...

Excellent!

Now gotta get healthy.

Bruins were in revenge mode while the Kings were like "i don't give a ****, just another game." Teams love playing hard against the Kings, or trash talking like Kesler...but the Kings never fall for that crap in the regular season.

Unfortunately, it was locked due to some stupid Capitals fan, arguing with us about Dustin Brown's cap hit and its effect on the Kings in the future...like didn't already know. Dude sabotaged Brown's mojo.

Guess we'll just have to start a new Brown sucks thread before the next game. :naughty:

It would have stayed active if we brought Erik Karlsson in the discussion. Try that next time.

Was out of town for this one (in Phoenix so maybe they lost because I'm here), but just glad we held on and won. Feels good to say we're playoff bound after missing last year.

Jon Rosen just tweeted that Versteeg is day-to-day and should be back on this trip at some point. Awesome, we need Versteeg and his depth he creates!

Came to post the same. Thank goodness. Probably just a brutal bruise or something.

I took a shot on my outstep once and it broke two of my toes. It doesn't take much. FOrtunate for us.

Day to day? You mean like Greene or Gabrik

There's an interesting quote in the link that Rosen has on his Twitter (March 20 practice notes) -- I think Sutter just openly referred to Kopi as the captain.

Has he done this before, and I just missed it?

From Rosen's practice notes:

On Anze Kopitar’s play over the last month:
Hey, him and Jonathan set the template for our team in terms of leadership and what’s going on. It’s those two guys who carry the weight, and he’s on pace for his normal regular season. His numbers, he’s going to be, what, around 25 and 50 in terms of goals and assists, and that’s what his career has been. That’s spectacular for most players. For him, that’s normal. … You know what? Our team, the top players are also the captains, so it goes hand-in-hand. It’s a lot of responsibility for Kopi, but that’s good responsibility and it’s good pressure.I trust him on and off the ice, so you expect him to be a top guy in both those areas. He’s a top player on the ice and he’s our captain.

Sutter had done that before. He equates any letter with "captain." I don't think he considers the "C" or the "A" as being at all distinct from one another.
