Sucks as a society we haven’t figured out a cure for balding yet .

I’m fortunate to have a strong hairline probably one of the only things I got going for me in the genetic lottery

Kind of sucks even more that people care

I guess hair is cool to protect the head from sunburns, but otherwise isn't it purely looks at this point?

Damn look at that chain. Probably like 20k at least. If that’s real 18k. Maybe even 22 or 24 karat

That reflection in his glasses combined with his squinting face still weirds me out.

It reminds me of a Tardigrade/Water bear/moss piglet...

Serious Question: Whats with folks going bald even younger nowadays. Is it the food? Lifestyle? Supplements? What is it?

that said...

less resistance and weight on the head might help him to think clearly and might up the effort level ;)

Well ya he's definately the captain of that team obviously lol
He's not just the captain, he's a first ballot HOF in that regards.

I could've used some hair this summer in Mallorca, had to peel of the remaining skin after it all started to crack, after 5 days of sun in 32-34 degrees celsius .

Stem cell treatment is extraordinarily effective for balding and is covered by most health insurance policies

Pretty sure if someone like Wayne Rooney who was practically bald was able to get their hair back, I don’t see how Matthews can’t

The main problem with transplants is that while the transplanted hair should be good for life, you almost certainly need to get on Finesteride to preserve the remaining native hair. Many guys are just not comfortable taking Finesteride due to some of its scarier side-effects (most guys given the choice would rather be bald than have issues with their penis). And without Finesteride, one is gonna continue losing the native hair and eventually not have enough donor hair to make up for it. So long term it is likely not a solution for most without medication.

Matthews doesn't need a transplant, he just needs to cut his hair shorter and not style it slick back. Most clinics worth their salt would probably discourage him from getting a transplant at his age anyways.

I think with Laine he is not that bald but the combination of extremely blonde and extremely thin hair gives the impression of his hairline being worse than it is (same for EP40).

This makes me think it was Rooney's missus that wanted him to go through with it :D

As she had issues (naturally) with his use of his penis.

Don't see it alot in Sweden. However... Americans and Canadians do have a healthy dose of Polish and Irish ancestry, two populations who do seem to struggle more with keeping their hair.

The donor area is USUALLY full of hair that is resistant to the DHT that causes hair loss. You take finasteride to slow down the thinning on top of your head so your full head of hair doesnt end up looking sparse in 2 years after the transplant.

There is however a form of balding where even the donor area thins, but the most common male pattern balding just creates the horseshoe type of hairline where you're completely bald on top and have hair on the sides and back that are resistant to DHT as I previously mentioned. Personally dont think finasteride is that bad if you just find the right dose for yourself and dont blindly follow the prescription amount which in my opinion should be treated as the dosage ceiling.

I recently shaved my head and got all sorts of compliments.

Sure the bald look isn't the best but it's almost always better than the balding look.

I had long-ass poorly managed hair and just shaved it all- I look like a tough-ass monk now, I dig it. Also confirmed that I’m not really balding, it just parts oddly, but it’s nice to just clean house once, just to show you can pull it off. We all too attached to our looks and material trappings, yada yada.

Ps- Laine looks worlds better bald, not that he should give two shits.

Women hardly care about a guy's hair. I'd rather be confident with what i have than take some drug that'll still not give me the hair i want but now gives me other health problems.

1 goal, 1 assist, -10 in his last 10 games.
Just 16 points this season (0.64 ppg).

<sigh>

dude has come long way...down since his draft.
first 2 seasons of his NHL career were okay, since then...
its been a big mess, a shit show really.

had high hopes, but so far his NHL career been a huge let down,
Auston Matthews >>> Patrik Laine... sad to admit.

Laine still holds insane potential, probably most potential
of all players in the NHL but its not working for him, probably never will,
his career might be a relatively short one i'm afraid..

sure, he has improved his skating and overall game but... meh
don't care, he has every tool to win multiple rocket's and
while scoring tons of goals... but no <sigh>
