With a goal against Buffalo Laine reached 100 career Points and became only the 3rd european teenager in NHL history to hit 100 career Points. Laine has a good shot to become the highest scoring european teenager too if he doesn't get injured this season. At the moment it's:
Kovalchuk 67+51=118 Points
Jagr 50+58=108 Points
Laine 55+45=100 Points
I know, I know this isn't all that impressive as european's are known to be more soft and fragile than North american players and usually end up making the NHL at a later age because they usually need more time to develop physically. But still It's pretty nice accomplishment to be in the same company as Jagr and Kovalchuk. But this might also mean that Laine runs a higher risk of quitting the NHL and signing in the KHL instead, just like both Kovalchuk and Jagr did...
