You know that goal never would have happened had Seider been equipped with old faithful:

Was he injured all the time with Columbus? Laine's shot looks like his early Jets one again.

I'm no expert, but it felt like he wasn't shooting much and was looking for better place to shoot all the time instead of just taking the shots.

He did mention not touching hockey stick in 8 months. Long break with all this support can do miracles.

It might just be an optical illusion, but if you really slow it down I swear it looks like the stick is already broken before the puck gets to it.

Edit: slow it down to frame by frame. The stick starts off straight, then seems to snap while the puck is on its way.

I've been wondering about that, while he was still a very good shooter in Columbus, his shot never looked quite as good to me and he didn't seem to shoot enough. Could be it was just lack of mojo being depressed, or maybe that shoulder he got cleaned up last spring was something that was bothering him a bit, or any other nagging thing. Who knows, I guess Laine might.

I mean, all his 7 goals have come from the exact same spot. Everyone knows it's coming but it just keeps working.
Must be nice playing with a team that is actually playing for the pass there. That's now more PP goals like this for the Habs than he had in total for the Jets.
