[Just referring to Laine, not any package with additional assets]

The value will not be high. Laine has once more let his team down with his lackluster performances: cannot carry a line, ineffective even on the PP, wildly inconsistent, bad and lazy in the defensive zone, and not even scoring well: the one thing he needs do, he cannot perform anywhere near the expectations:
46 goals, in the last two and a half seasons. 'Nuff said. If he is still capable of scoring 30+ goals in a season, he's not shown any of it, in a long, long time. And the trend points downwards.

He is not a piece any team wants to build on, based on his performances in the last three years or so, and there is absolutely no indication he is going to pick things up. Moreover, even his short-term efficiency is questionable at best, and likely requires an absolute elite playmaking center for him to play with.

These being considered, Laine is a very unlikely trade target, although for some top teams with adequate elite talent to possibly enable Laine and compensate for his many shortcomings, there could theoretically be some incentive to make an offer, however, the price cannot be high. Perhaps a mid-tiering top 9 player with a great contract, or a good pick at the maximum.

Laine brings back alot more than that. This just isnt goes to whatever the most teams want to give up, its paying to entice Columbus to move him
