Usually when you see both sides saying no, or as some posters said , one of those few proposals that seems fair.
Means it works both ways.
Means it works both ways.
Lafrenière to the habs for Slafkovsky.
Both will be making similar money next year
Both were first overall picks
Montreal gets a French Canadian player.
Laffy could finally get more than a 1:23 a game on the PP. I’m sure he’s not happy about his PP time in NY, and could want a change of scenery, not sure why he doesn’t get much time on PP.
If small add needed, could be easily arranged with Habs prospect pool and/or player.

I notice no one has talked about Slaf and his point totals or lack of point totals this year. Guy has 2 goals and 1 on the PP in 24 games. Think Montreal jumped the gun with that con
Do they have center ice in the afterlife?Well hopefully Slafkovski isn’t a lazy f***er like Lafreniere.
“ESPN Host Ted Lindsay called out Rangers for lack of effort and hustle on a consistent basis over the course of 60 minutes.
He ain’t wrong.
Gave four examples from the Seattle game.
Lindgren, Schneider, Lafreniere and Kakko.”
Laf is better at this point and suits the Rags needs for deep playoff runs.
The team for Lafreniere would be Ottawa.
Lafrenière would be a bit younger than Suzuki and Caufield
When the Hell has he shown that he was dynamic and a beast this year? lol He looks slow as molasse. If this trade happens and I'm Hughes, I'm hiding my face not to laugh in their face and run away like a bandit.
I'm actually shocked there's no more of a pushback from Rangers fans.
Probably. Montreal fans are obsessed with Laf like Gollum is with the one ring.
If OTT I propose Tkachuk for Lafs + a 1st.
Also the fact he speaks French doesn't affect you does it? LOL Slafs is younger than Lafs BTW
Ecoutes le Chat... Try to be objective. I know we haven't had a French Canadian superstar in a long while but doesn't mean we should get hosed in a deal. Slafs will round out to form sure enough.
OP isn't a habs fanAh here we go with the Habs and their French Canadians
Don’t believe this is the first time I’ve seen this discussion and don’t believe it’ll be the last either
This makes a lot of sense for both teams.
Lafreniere seems to have plateau’d, on pace for 25g 60pts but has more value in MTL.
Slaf is a couple years younger has already had a 20g 50pt season & likely has more upside.

Laf is performing better than Slaf and has got better year on year. He is an extremely valuable asset to the team. He has also proven that he can perform and drive the team in the playoffs.
Slaf's offense is heavily reliant on PP. Nearly 30% (45% this season) of his points are from the PP compared to Laf's 8%.
Rangers do it. Habs laugh and hang up.Pretty sure neither team does this
