I know there is a line for all players, but damnit do I love ADA when he shows actual passion and tenacity. Need more of that.
He does it almost every shift, always in the middle of scrums
I feel like he’d be one of those guys who elevate their game in the playoffs

It’s those little moments which show me how Kreider has developed as a leader. I know I’m biased, but I need a huge overpayment to trade him. I’d sign him for $42 million for six years in a heartbeat.
I love Kreider, but what concerns me is his style of play. Most of his game is based on speed, and as he gets older, he's going to lose that speed. Also, the NHL is getting faster and faster each year. But what kind of gives me hope is that even though Kreider isn't one of the fastest players in the NHL anymore (many young guys have caught up), he's still playing great hockey. And arguably, it's the best hockey of his career. So that's encouraging. And last year, he developed a playmaking component to his game, which hopefully continues. That shows me he can grow and adapt. But we'll see. Kreider also sometimes plays physically, so that can wear on him.

Little late to the party on this one, but this last string of games has been absolutely wonderful tactical hockey from the Rangers.

They're finally showing what Quinn meant by defending in layers and having your F in the slot swoop in to help chip it out to an open F and get transition kickstarted the other way. They're moving the puck up ice quickly because they're utilizing short passes and attack in numbers through space in the neutral zone, so it's not a surprise that when they're lugging it up ice with a full head of steam that LA looks discombobulated and flatfooted in the d-zone. The Rangers skating effort is opening up so much room for them, and they're also finally ripping shots from the slot. Great 2nd period from them.

KZZ is on another level again tonight.

He's awesome around the front of the net. He's also very good at maintaining control of the puck along the boards. He has many talents that aren't predicated solely on his speed. His critics miss the totality of his game.

Honestly most of his goals this year are tip ins and fewer snipes off the rush

Kreider is an elite net front presence. Great at screening, great at getting to rebounds bc of his awareness and strength and most of all he’s truly elite at tipping pucks in he’s legitimately one of best in the league at it. Not just skill wise but statistically he’s one of the top 3 guys in the league at converting tips.

Need more of this on this team and in the NHL in general. There’s too much ‘I wanna be friends’ attitude around the league
I think DeAngelo's issue has been that is carries over too seamlessly to practice and it rubs teammates the wrong way, regardless of what is likely just his absentmindedness.

That said, I think it is fine in game and I like it. Hell, Kreider has always been great at it, and in a different way Zucc as well - and they practically define our current veteran presence/leadership.
