I think DeAngelo's issue has been that is carries over too seamlessly to practice and it rubs teammates the wrong way, regardless of what is likely just his absentmindedness.

That said, I think it is fine in game and I like it. Hell, Kreider has always been great at it, and in a different way Zucc as well - and they practically define our current veteran presence/leadership.

I get the sense that ADA isn’t so much an issue for his teammates as much as the officials possibly.

I love Kreider, but what concerns me is his style of play. Most of his game is based on speed, and as he gets older, he's going to lose that speed. Also, the NHL is getting faster and faster each year. But what kind of gives me hope is that even though Kreider isn't one of the fastest players in the NHL anymore (many young guys have caught up), he's still playing great hockey. And arguably, it's the best hockey of his career. So that's encouraging. And last year, he developed a playmaking component to his game, which hopefully continues. That shows me he can grow and adapt. But we'll see. Kreider also sometimes plays physically, so that can wear on him.

Good point, however.. #20 is still very much one of the fastest skaters in the league.

Also how many players have the size/speed combo?

I get the feeling he has an attitude that works great with friends but doesn't always translate over to people who are just there to do their job

Sam just jinxed it with the report that Kings are 0-359 this year when trailing.

I don't think Vesey's issue is low effort. It's that he thinks the game at a slow pace (for an NHLer). And that would line up with him starting the season off looking good - October games are a lot slower than February games.
