I hope JQ gets the start tomorrow
The problem is the Kings have more skill available than they are choosing to play on the PP. Players like Arvidsson and Kaliyev should be getting top PP timeThe Kings basically don't have the skill necessary to make a good PP.
Pretty sick of the neanderthal binary thinking bullshit. There's like 5 posters that can't seem to grasp the idea that you can both like this team and desire change, or that you can hate this team and still see positive.
Yep, why strive for an "A" in your course when a "C" is a passing grade? Be satisfied with your strengths and ignore your weaknesses. Guarantee you folks don't say to that their kids. Hypocritical is what it is. View your own life under a different lens, but by golly do not point out the areas of improvement of the sports team I root for! Hater!
If the Kings are even just 1 game over .500 in the last 10, they end with 98 points...why are so many people 'bracing themselves to miss the playoffs'? And that's going to take a monster effort?I am beginning to brace myself for missing the playoffs...but think the Kings can pull it off.
Will take some herculean efforts and a few players, playing their best hockey of the year, the final 10 games.

I've been saying it, and I will continue to say it until they prove me wrong (because they deserve the credit) -- no reason to think they will miss the playoffs based on what they've done this year, and yah I'm giving the coaching a lot of that credit (I hope I don't get banned for that).
Vegas just got smoked by VAN, at home. Their hot streak could be over.
Edmonton has 1 game in hand and 1 pt ahead of the Kings. If they win tonight, will be 3 ahead. If the Kings are even just 1 game over .500 in the last 10, they end with 98 points...why are so many people 'bracing themselves to miss the playoffs'? And that's going to take a monster effort?

A high scoring winger would be great and all, but the team isn’t going to do squat in the playoffs until we get a center outside of Danault bringing it on a consistent basis.
Edmonton has 1 game in hand and 1 pt ahead of the Kings. If they win tonight, will be 3 ahead.
Nashville has 3 games in hand and 2 pts behind the Kings. They are 6-4 last 10.
Dallas has 3 games in hand and 3 pts behind the Kings. They are 7-3 in last 10.
Vegas can flounder and miss, but the Kings have to beat out 1 of the 3 above.
They all have games in hand on and that is part of the situation.
Yes, it will take a herculean effort, to get in.

The Kings don't have to beat out any of those 3. If we finish ahead of Vegas, we make the playoffs in the 3rd division spot.Edmonton has 1 game in hand and 1 pt ahead of the Kings. If they win tonight, will be 3 ahead.

That is true...I was reading some blog and should have just looked at the NHL standings, with the wild card breakdown and seeing the top 3 in each division. Dallas and Nashville matter not and must beat out Vegas OR Edmonton, for third in Pacific. The Kings don't have to beat out any of those 3. If we finish ahead of Vegas, we make the playoffs in the 3rd division spot.
And for as tough as our next few games are, Vegas does the Vancouver-Calgary-Edmonton trip next week.
I am beginning to brace myself for missing the playoffs...but think the Kings can pull it off.

Dallas and Nashville both have 3 games in hand and both hot....Vegas and Edmonton are hot.
In embracing the possible miss, the solace (comfort or consolation in a time of distress or sadness)
I will have are 2 things:
1. The Kings have had their best season in 4 years and are on the rise. Watching games has been more
fun this season in years.
2. If the Kings miss, Blake will be even more prepared to make 'THE ADD' that will help propel them to the next level. I know he wants to add and missing, will motivate him even more to get a top player. I hope that #1 target is Forsberg. He's 27, the elite winger the Kings need, has 24 pts in last 13 games - when it matters most - trying to get Nashville in the playoffs. If the Kings had him now, with that production the last 13 games, they would be 4-6 points ahead of Calgary.
No fillers, posers or hopefuls. Get the legit top winger that can score 30+ goals and 60+ points and in their prime: Forsberg, Bertuzzi, Debrincat, etc.
any word who is coming out?We talked to Lemieux today after morning skate. He confirmed that the coaching staff told him he's back in tonight.
Roy looks like he'll be back but that's unconfirmed as of this moment in time to the best of my knowledge.
I think yesterday's practice had Andersson possibly coming out, and maybe Bjornfot on the backend.any word who is coming out?
Grundstrom up front makes sense to me, not sure on D
