Speculation: LA Kings News, Rumors, Roster Thread part VII

JC would be a cog going forward. They have talked about LD for awhile. No others are really available. I doubt Anaheim had any intention of trading with LA too. I think they strike while the iron is hot. More competition at the draft top imho.
 
While I wouldn't trade GV for Max Domi, if we look at him from the lense of a comparable player on a different team, what would we give to get a guy who is 22, waiver eligible next year and who has spent more time in the minors than the NHL this year? I can't imagine his value on the open market is what it is on this forum.

I love Kyle but he literally had one of the worst games I've ever seen him play last night. Took a terrible unnecessary holding penalty that cost the Leafs the game; and didn't do anything when the Preds were running them all night long. He quite honestly deserves to be waived :laugh:

With all that said though if Blake put in a claim I'll be bouncing off the walls.

But I also don't think that's a case of the forum overvaluing Vilardi, he just has more worth to the Kings than he woudl on the open market. Everyone would be trying to buy low on him. That's why I don't see him as expendable

Have no problem trading Vilardi. He has a good shot, size & playmaking. Anyone wants him right now it's full price or Kings fans get to see how he develops. No reason to sell on cheap.

Watched the WPG, Bos game to check some players. Copp was robbing people of assists left & right. Not intrested. Scheifele & Dubois would both be upgrades, but get the floating vibe from them. WPG doesn't seem to stress backchecking or non risky plays.

Logan Stanley has size & hits. Looks like a deer in headlights at times. Some issues may be him, lack of forward defense, or WPG game plan. Would try for him on the cheap & see if Greener & OD can turn him into an NHL defender. Can't teach them to grow... oh wait

Evgeny Svechnikov is at a career high 17 points. He makes safe plays like dumping the puck then hits the other teams defense. Has hands & vision to make some better plays. May not be top6, but could be a solid 3rd liner that skates & hits & a little upside.

May have watched too much Sutter hockey. Connor? Ehlers? Give me that dude that hits people!

Kyle Connor is a stud and type of player LA really needs lol.

I'm 100% Vilardi paired with someone to get through the neutral zone can be very useful in the cycle game. If another team wants him, full value.

I’d gladly take Connor or Ehlers but worry on the cost, but Blake should circle back in the off season to see if Winnipeg wants to shake up things.

Yeah WPG isn't trading either of those players, especially Connor. Could have had him or Barzal if not for Lucic trade back in day..
 
Perhaps it’s because he’s the oldest, but Vilardi is certainly looking like our best prospect. Kind of crazy.
 
I think Blake should put Maatta on the market, with retention. Making the asking price a 1st.

I don't think he's worth that obviously, but considering some the market prices we've seen, might as well give it a try. Take em to the cleaners Rob.

I could see Nick Paul being the TDL get. He fits in with the elite scrubs that are carrying this team and is cheap in terms of salary and potential acquisition cost.

I think JAD, Grundstrom and a conditional 3rd/4th could be fair value from the Kings perspective. Paul is your 3C going into the playoffs.
