Making your readers aware of edits, providing sources, giving citations for facts…these are things a real journalists do. Mayor McF***stick is an amateur clown so you won’t get any of that.
I saw that but it’s still under his site. In my eyes he bears ultimate responsibility for what goes out on that site. He should have the integrity to ensure the article notes that it was revised instead of trying to sneak it in there.
In my limited direct dealings with him I’ve found him to be a 1st class human being. He helped me with something with zero benefit to himself. You may not like his work but questioning his character his way off in my experience.

I’ve never had any personal interaction, but the way he talks down to his readers is pretty lame. I feel like him and Bernstein think they are smarter than they are and are above their readers because they chose to write a Kings blog. I would be willing to bet you and I watch significantly more hockey than those two do.

Andreoff is not a bad fighter. He essentially ended Boll’s career. He took the Bieska Superman punch and got up. Good for him. He was way meaner than MacEwen.
My issue is with the attacks on his integrity. If I’m honest I’ve gone off the pod, but I seperate the man from the media personality. So by all means I have no problem with people not liking the product, it’s the personal stuff I don’t like. By the way I feel that way about pretty much everyone, because we don’t know the personal side of most of the people we discuss on here. You won’t find a single post from me about the character or integrity of anyone, because in my experience the chat board opinions on people I have known are always way off the mark. It’s not something I’ve ever liked or been comfortable with. I get though that’s it’s the nature of the beast. I only comment on Hoven as I have very positive personal experience interacting with the guy.
I'm sorry, but having a pretty key factual statement quiet-edited without noting the change (in the same article where other later edits are noted) exemplifies a lack of integrity. It comes from the same place of him mocking Kings fans on the podcast or condescending to them on Twitter.
He could be great on an individual basis (and I certainly can’t question the experiences people have had with him directly) but he carries a certain persona publicly, which includes purporting to be a go-to Kings reporting resource. With that, I think it’s fair to expect a certain level of professionalism from him. (Edit: not that you’re saying otherwise, just further elaborating why this particular issue annoys me.)
