I don’t have anything to add here other than David Lynch is the f***ing man.
I just heard that title for the first time recently — I’ll definitely check it out. Thanks for the recThe only film I have seen since then that had a similar effect was Beau is Afraid. Completely different movie every time you see it.
Problem there is Laf was pretty damn good last night.Probably an unpopular opinion, but I think Laferriere should go down to ONT and Turcotte up. I wasn't surprised he was scratched last game. He's kind of struggled compared to early on and it's not a knock on him. I just think he could use time in the AHL.
Turcotte on the other hand seems to be doing well, has added some weight and strength, and with the way LA is built right now, it's an ideal situation for him to step into.
The Kid has earned his shot, checked all the boxes required, and is ready for NHL ice. Couple that with being his last year of waiver expemption, it would behoove the Kings to give Turcotte a long look at the NHL level to see what they truly have.Probably an unpopular opinion, but I think Laferriere should go down to ONT and Turcotte up. Lizotte may be out some games, prob perfect opportunity to call up Turcotte. The Kid has earned his shot, checked all the boxes required, and is ready for NHL ice. Laffy has played admirably so far this season, but he has been far too inconsistent in his efforts to be a full time player. It’s a great cup of coffee for him to take down to the AHL, while he learns how to cope with the grind of a professional season, and be ready to challenge for a roster spot next year (Arvidsson’s spot, specifically).
I agree. Lizzo has really grown on me but he got rocked extra hard last night. Only so much punishment he can take. Even giving him a few nights off in a row to let his body recover may be a good idea.Lizotte may be out some games, prob perfect opportunity to call up Turcotte.
He was two years younger then. However, I don’t think we should bring in anyone until we give Rittich a shot as the clear backup.Remember when Cam Talbot was having an All-Star season in Minnesota and then they brought in Fleury and totally destroyed the dynamic and flopped in the playoffs?
I'm worried we try and bring in another goalie and it just doesn't work.
I don’t particularly mind how it happens, it just needs to happen this year, and hopefully before Turcotte himself catches a flying elbow in the AHL again.Lizotte may be out some games, prob perfect opportunity to call up Turcotte.

If Talbot keeps this up, they probably only bring in a vet goalie who can step in if something goes wrong and keep Talbot the #1.Remember when Cam Talbot was having an All-Star season in Minnesota and then they brought in Fleury and totally destroyed the dynamic and flopped in the playoffs?

Laf is playing OK but the production isn't there. He's dead last in points among the regulars, and while points aren't everything, when you are playing with very offensively talented players you should have more points than Englund.
He's got the pursuit and work ethic part down, but he's way too focused on the net. He needs some work on his vision, he misses a lot of higher-percentage scoring plays because he simply fires it on net without looking up a lot of the time. That will come as the game slows down for him, and sitting here and there will give him some time to pick that up. Young players can get a lot from watching in the press box, seeing things they miss on the ice. He's had next to zero time to do that as he's been in the lineup since camp.
I still find it difficult to think that Turcotte gets a legit shot this year. Laf has basically taken it away. He was awesome last night. Reminds me of an Iaffalo but I think he will score more once he gets going.Kind of unrelatedly as @lumbergh pointed out in Around the League last night Canucks, Oilers, VGK all lost. Finally had a good standings night.
But then you look at schedules and it's like good grief, we have played almost nothing but playoff teams/division leaders and mostly when they're on hot streaks, it's crazy.
I REALLY hope that with the schedule softening up these guys don't play down a level. We all know the Oilers and Sharks et. al. will not be as bad as they were early in the season and that might help but it all adds up to the Kings might end up with the hardest strength of schedule we've ever seenI'ts impressive what they've done so far and righting the ship at home was vital. Now to either jumpstart Copley or pull up Rittich, and find Turcotte some playing time.
Yes and no. He's got 12 points in 13 games, so that puts him around 40th in AHL scoring leaders. But the team has played less games than other teams. He leads the team in +/- at 5. So he is not dominant overall in the league but he is the driving force of the Reign.Lots of talk about Turcotte. Is he blowing it up in the AHL right now?
