This didn’t sound like it was speculation. He expressly said “it’s been made pretty clear behind the scenes there that it’s Kaliyev’s time to go somewhere else” and followed it up with the reference to the depth forward with edge. Contrast that with his later comment prefacing his speculation about them trying to make a big goalie trade.

Johnny wanted the Kings to sign Zach Kassian this past summer too. He's nothing if not consistent, gotta admire that at least.

Getting Reaves would be a horrible move at this point in his career but I do agree that physicality is needed up and down the lineup.

This team is such a clown show that adding Reaves--one of the biggest clowns in the league--for a real NHL player would be icing on the cake.

I'm all about fighting but this guy doesn't respect The Code and acts like an idiot. He would not make this team a contender all of a sudden.

Which I’d actually be ok with (assuming value) if the team was still rolling. However one or two trades isn’t fixing what is wrong at this point. I’d much rather see if a new coach can get him going.
