Kings are a great 5-man unit. When they play as a team, they are nearly unstoppable. I think they've been trying to force things recently, maybe forcing more offense when that's not what they are. They are a cohesive unit and play great as a team. There is no I in team.

Don't look now, but Pierre Luc Dubois has 5 points in his last 6 games, which he has achieved only one other time this season (Oct 17-28).

Also, Danault has a 5 game point streak (7 points) after a 5 game pointless streak. Meanwhile, Kopitar just keeps on trucking.

Lizotte has been on an 11 game pointless streak. I was gonna say that it'll be tough for JAD to make up for Lizette's absence, but maybe not.

Detroit Lions won their first playoff game in 33 years... that is nuts.. but at the rate things are going here, we could give them a run

EDM needed a coaching change to change direction though. Something was changed and when it goes like this something has to change.

A 10 game win streak, even after a slow start with their new coach will help any team. It's sucks losing 8 , even though half went to OT, but our issues were nothing like EDM starting off with only 3 wins in 13.

Looking forward and Russell Morgan talked about it on his post game Twitter chat is the roster when Arvidsson comes back...

Though, I still see the Kings making a move for a gritty forward and either putting him at the 3RW or on the 4th line...

Players that come to mind and can be moved are:

Garnet Hathaway - shoots R and plays RW - signed a two year deal last summer - one more year left after this year at 2.375 million. Flyers rebuilding and Briere and Blake have connected on trades already.
Pat Maroon - shoots L and plays LW. - UFA - Minny is done.
Brandon Duhaime - shoots L but plays RW. - UFA - Minny is done.
Jordan Greenway - shoots L and plays LW - one more year after this year at 3 million. Rumor has it Buffalo might eat salary to move him.
Josh Anderson - shoots R and plays RW. Has a history with Bergeron and played with PLD. Has three more years after this year at 5 million, so Montreal would have to eat salary.
Mathieu Olivier - shoots R and plays RW. Has one more year after this year at 1.1 million.

Mark my words one of these players will be a King by the March trade deadline.

we've only won 3 of our last 13.

Totally different situation. How many of the 8 loses did they look bad or get blown out? 1 or 2? The Detroit game was the worst of the 8 game skid, the Leafs game was a very winnable game had they even remotely made an effort to get a goal on a 4th stringer who was in the minors a week before. 4 were games with blown 2 goal leads, and ended up in SO/OT losses. EDM gave up 18 goals in 3 games vs VAN, including a 7-1 beatdown. The Oilers were embarrassingly bad when they fired woodcroft.

Laferriere has played too well to just erase him from the lineup. I could see him edging out someone on the 4th line, or Kaliyev the way Todd unnecessarily scratches him.

Even Russell said it. Laffy goes down - he is the only player waiver exempt.

JAD will go on waivers too which is good for Ontario - they will get both JAD and Laffy after losing Matzev to KHL and Turcotte to injury.

Random time for a Fagemo callup, figured they'd get home before any shuffling

But good for Sammy even if he's just watching tonight!
Maybe it’s cos Lizzo got hurt? But he’s also not center and the kings still have Kali on the roster? Kings never do shit that makes sense. I guess we’ll see.

I hated Perry for years but hope he signs somewhere. I wouldn't mind him on this team really. We need to act a bit more like an asshole out there. Small contract, short term. Give up one of the players Todd doesn't want to play anyway and then let them be a star somewhere else.

I wonder if Blake has been told he can’t fire Todd after signing him to an extension. His and Todd’s fate is mostly tied to how the season ends! Hopefully the powers that be have also mandated any major moves like trading a first round pick again and or young prospects have to be cleared above his head? Maybe this is why why see handcuffed loves that don’t make sense like Bjornfoot on waivers and guys being stifled or mismanaged like Clarke and Arty?

Grasping to understand why we have no major movement and half assed approaches to remedy things with the underlying theme of you ride the horse you road into town on.

Not sure what's hard to understand, it's one of two things....

1. Management, coaches, who have been around for decades, have absolutely no idea what they are doing, how to deal with professional hockey players, and are hoping the puck goes in the net every night.

2. Management believes they have the right mixture of players, and believes they have the right coach....for now, hence the 1 year oooooohhh extension of McClellan.

You say mismanagement of players like Kaliyev and Clarke as if you are behind the scenes talking to the players themselves and know exactly what is going on.....and that the call ups/benchings/ice time is solely because LA Management/coaches want to f*** with the players and no other reasons...why do you feel that way?
