Seems like he is trying too hard to be like Toronto media writers.
Bernie is God awful and only writes sensationalist pieces. No one, and I mean no one, should take what he writes seriously. The only reason anyone would like him is how he will continuously smash management of St. Louis sports teams no matter what they do. The Cardinals could have brought in Aaron Judge for $5 and a Charleston Chew but the ignoramus would have complained that the candy bar was too expensive.

A good writer should never make themself a part of the story and Bernie Miklasz loves thinking he's important enough to be a part of the story. The best description I can give of Bernie is that he's drama queen. He likes to stir things up and his communication style is in line with that of a teenage girl. He used to spend more time on his radio shows whining (he literally has this insufferable, whiny voice that he uses much of the time) about what people thought about him and his opinions instead of actually talking about the issues themselves. If you're going to consume Miklasz's work, consume responsibly.

Whining about reactions to opinions and who said what first sounds like more than half of the posts on this forum.

Here’s the thing: He’s right. This is all on Army but Chief will wind up paying the price.

He sure hasn't been able to motivate his team this season.

At a certain time in the tenure of a coach in an organization, the inspirational influence of him/her diminishes going forward. Not sure if this year is it, but it sure feels like that for Berube.

I was selfishly glad when he was let go from 101.1 (not personally, I don't wish that on anyone), so I had something to listen to driving to work, even Smallmon was a huge improvement

I like the Bernie ogrish curmudgeon thing. It's funny. He doesn't care and just writes whatever he wants now. The article that PJJJ posted was hilarious. One hot take zinger after another. Super fun read and very emotional.

That's why we're trading everyone away. So new players can be motivated by him.

Problem is he writes this drivel, then would spend hours on air whining when people don't like it or agree with it.

every single thing he says or writes winds up being about him, I find him insufferable and we haven’t even started talking about him taking both sides of every issue and then later claiming he was right

Miklasz: "this squad is not worthy of wearing the same jersey as Bobby Plager — they'll never be the group to get Bobby his parade", ad nauseum (for years)...is the same guy that couldn't be there for the Stanley Cup parade because he had tickets to see Lady Gaga in Vegas. During a residence.

I get the entertainment factor, but I don't like the way he weaponizes stats. He strips everything of context so he can fit things into his incendiary (over dramatic) claims. Rinse/Repeat. He's not alone in that tactic — but he's particularly bad when it comes to hockey.

If Thomas/Buch carry over momentum from the Seattle game and continue to crater their opposition, he'll be the first guy to tell you that he was right about Thomas all along and how he's been on the Thomas/Buch vs. Thomas/Kyrou train the whole time. "Just look at these numbers"

Not sure why anyone would read or listen to Bernie personally.
Bernie's been irrelevant for the better part of a decade.

I enjoyed his writing and show before when he'd come up with original thoughts, now he's just trying to live off reputation and regurgitating what others say.
