Wow so it was Dubas’s presser that sunk him with the Leafs. Up until that point Shanny says they basically had a dead done but after hearing that Shanny pulled the plug

Even after the presser Shanny still wanted Kyle. Kyle got greedy and asked for more money. LOL the irony of this is crazy.

What's unusual? His family doesn't like him doing the job so he asked for more compensation to make it more worth it. That's not an unusual circumstance. Most people make decisions like that in their careers.

Let me get this straight... You put Kyle into a lame duck situation. He impressed you throughout the season and playoffs. Then because he didn't sign on the dotted line right when you wanted him to, you decided he wasn't the right guy for the job anymore? All within a matter of 48-72hrs?

Shanny needs to be fired now. Dubas wanted to be the GM, he wanted Dubas to be GM, and he let his emotions get in the way of making the right decision.

Truly pathetic stuff from Shanny.

Kyle earned the right to take whatever time he wanted (within reason). He gambled on himself, and won. f*** off MLSE and f*** off Shanny.

To be fair, Dubas was very aloof about his future with the leafs in the press conference and seemingly played hardball with the leafs in contract negotiations. That’s how she goes.
Guess Dubas was so used to dealing with shitty manipulative players and agents and decided to give it a go himself.
