Tulsky intrigues me the most. But, we don't know whats next. We managed to pull in Burke and Lou out of nowhere when no one thought they were available.

I'm a little shy with guys who have no experience after JFJ and Dubas but Tulsky is highly regarded and the more I read, the more I am interested.

* Became apparent this morning that this is where it would end up.

* Comments he made on locker exit day, caught organization really off-guard. Definitely felt extension talks were being had, but when Kyle opened the door to him not being "All-in", it cast doubt.

*Not sure how the team will spin it - organization decision vs Kyle's personal decision. Had some sources tell him it was a team decision, but he's not so sure.

* Dubas was a huge part of this team, including off the ice. Says he's stunned that the organization moved off him. Doesn't think Dubas was out of answers, and would have bet on him continuing to grow and evolve on the job.

* Has no sense of who the new GM would be. Makes the prediction of who coaches this team next season impossible.

* Wonders what this means for Matthews' extension. Speculates that he won't be signing before July 1st anymore, until he knows who the new GM is and what the plan is moving forward.

He might not be out of answers, but when his answers to goaltending include Matt Murray held together with velcro, the team is better off without said answers

Hey it's change. We've all been begging for it. A new voice and new philosophy isn't a bad idea. Kyle had a fair amount of chances with his vision for this group, it never worked. He did a lot of good things and I wish him the best, but change is coming.

Neither likely, but if I was a betting man I'd bet on the Leafs.

This is a GM who continually made poor goaltending evaluations and put together a defense core without a semblance of a offensive game by the end of his tenure.

Most are too focused on the core 4, and that has it's merits, but you're not getting anywhere meaningful with a defense that's built like the current Leafs in today's NHL.

I don't see this as a big opportunity for celebration, tbh it's not like we're dumping Nonis or JFJ. This was a very good team that didn't deliver on the ice. I don't disagree that maybe his time ran out, but I don't see a slam dunk replacement. And if an AGM comes in as a first time GM, will we have the same "he doesn't have relationships" BS? Probably depends on what kind of eyewear he has and his age..

Treliving is a terrible hire in my opinion.

Tulsky or Pridham I'd be fine with.

I just am nervous the Leafs will go in the opposite direction of Dubas and get a terrible GM cause they won a cup in the early 2000's.

I am a Leafs fan regardless, I just thought Dubas was out best option, so this sucks because I think the team will start trending in the opposite direction.
