Kyle Davidson has to be Fired at this Point

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
lets check back in when Orlov isn't their number 1 defenseman...maybe that will be by Friday, who knows
Orlov, Klingberg and the vet pickups serve a buffer purpose. They allow the kids to learn sheltered without being over relied on and getting caved in -39 and -41 and then having their confidence wrecked. See Korchinski/Levshunov
Hopefully they won't bust like Boqvist, Dach, Reichel.....jeez you guys have been picking high in the 1st round for almost a decade now. That's a long rebuild.

Will you be covering the draft on CHR radio again?

Fire every GM.

There's been about 4 of these in 2 months.

A bunch of George Steinbrenners on these bosrds- don't get immediate results- YOU'RE FIRED!

some have been calling for his head since he walked into the job. if he doesn't show tangible results soon, they will be right to call for his head.

He was desperate to make the team significantly better right away and probably figured whoever they drafted would be 3 or 4 years away from being a good player in the nhl and might not even be that much better than byram. They also already have 3 young dmen who have a shot at being good top 4 d.

I really don't think it's as egregious as some people think

It isn’t. People are being crazy here. They basically swapped Crevier for Byram which isn’t just an upgrade 1v1 in a vacuum but looking specifically at their roster they already have several other defensive defensemen and sorely needed someone who’s not a project(like Reid or whoever else they could have gotten) to instantly provide offense and skill from the back end. Again they gave up only Crevier off the current roster, held on to all of their top young assets(Levshunov, Kantserov, Nazar, Rinzel, Frondell, Lardis, Moore, Vanacker, Nestrasil, etc), and are better on paper now starting opening night when they’ll be expected to compete and no longer just wait for guys to marinate.

The Hawks also didn’t need another young C(malhotra) with Bedard/Frondell/Nazar/Moore/ and even Greene also being Cs. As soon as it became apparent they weren’t getting the dynamic winger Stenberg(the Eklund trade), they made their move.

Ferris to Byram knowing Davidson job essentially now depends on Byram resigning:
