Kyle Davidson has to be Fired at this Point

  • If you are having issues logging in, we have found opening the log in page in a new tab/window rather than using the pop out should resolve these issues. We are working to get this resolved and thank you for patience.
  • Due to the increased volume of league transactions, the Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk section is temporarily restricted to where threads may only be started by moderators and sponsors. We anticipate that this restriction will be lifted some time after the first round of the draft.
Davidson miss steps.

Korchinski (the handling of him not the draft of him... yet.)
Trading to move up twice for Sasha Boisvert costing 4 second round picks where he could have drafted Cole Hutson
Levshunov over Demidov
trading for the pick that drafted mason west using the picks that were used to draft Alexander Zharovsky and potentially Bryce Pickford
signing Corey Perry who ended up SAing Bedards drunk mom at the team hotel
Trading Taylor Hall for some reason for a third and eating 50% of Mikko's contract... what? (Hall would have been third best forward on Chicago this year)
getting into a bidding war with San Jose over Byram about to turn in a year UFA that wasnt going to resign without getting him extended in a sign and trade and losing Crevier your starting 1RD

both Hagel and Debrincat trades were bad but its possible if one or both was still on the team then the team doesnt land Bedard, which is a crazy paradox of luck and should still be negative moves on his part.

Trading for Byram also is a signal of no confidence IN YOUR OWN DRAFTING ABILITY as you drafted three defensemen in the first round since 2022. (it usually takes a few years for defensemen blah blah blah. its been 4 years for Rinzel and Korchinski. How many years do they get?)
I'll still never understand the West pick. There were so many other great players available, why throw a Hail Mary that has almost no chance of turning out?

Didn't that end up being a female Blackhawks staff member and had nothing to do with Bedard's mother?

Chicago hasn't finished above 31st place since Bedard has been drafted. His style is be bad and hope to do well in the draft.

That's why he did the Byram deal. He's scared to lose his job , they cannot afford to be in the top 5 next season. They only have Bedard Rights for 4 more years

Nazar is better than Dach.
Dach's career high is the same in less games played and brings elements other than offense. Not saying Dach is vastly superior but Nazar's the most overrated player in the league.

Horrible take by OP. I was just looking at 4th overall picks since 2000 and Byram is as good or better than the vast majority of them. Plus he's still young with plenty of room to get even better.

It was a lot for Byram, but IMO Byram has the potential to be a true 1D. If he fails miserably in CHI, then ok, but id bet against it.

Byram is a puck mover and provides Offense...maybe what the BlackHawks are looking for in the backend but outside of that...he's not great/good Defensively

wow...I always viewed Dach as Injury prone and not a Centre maybe a 3rd line RWinger or worse 4th RWinger...Nazar is going to playing long after Dach has hung them up in the KHL...just saying don't be mad

5'2 2c for 6'3 guy who was good in playoffs and has been good when not injured.
Goddamn you mods, give me my laugh react back.

Anyway, really funny that Chicago made the mistake of throwing Korchinski to the wolves in his D+2, drafted an extremely similar player with the same limitations in Levshunov that same year and proceeded to do the exact same thing in his D+2.

Get elite talent, insulate them with mid players who can take tough match ups and be a good influence in the room. Don't know how so many GMs keep messing that up.

you can believe that if you like, but everyone in Chicago that cares about hockey knew that it was Bedard's mom the very next day because the hotel staff was talking about it. That is just what the team said to deflect attention.

also on the next shift YT show on Blackhawks YT channel Davidson took credit for bringing the moms on the road trip where that happened to Bedard's mom. Excellent KD.

The amount of times Tulsky was passed over for idiots is insane.

FLyers picked Fletcher over Zito.
FLyers picked Briere over Tulsky.

Hawks picked Davidson over Tulsky.

He's 24 and not too bad defensively. He still averaged over 22 mins a game with Buffalo despite Dahlin being the main guy.

It's a great haul for the Sabres, fantastic really, but you can't fault Chicago for trying to improve their team with a proven, very good young dman who will likely get even better.

I don’t know how you even make a trade like this trading significant draft capital for a player that’s not even on a multi year deal atleast. Byram gonna be laughing when it’s time to re-sign.
