The Rangers were a high-seed playoff team that had somewhere above ~50 less man games played in their top-6 then WinnipegThey had near equal points per game, and Scheifele was brutal outside of his scoring.

Otherwise Id suspect Scheifele outproduces him, albeit still with poor play away from the puck. Not that Zibanejad is a defensive wiz either. Sufficient though, certainly.
The likely increase with Winnipeg's man games lost should shine through due to the increase in scoring the league saw this year.Eh, Scheifele’s production hasn’t changed too much from when the Jets were a better team. This was tied for the second best points per game of his career after the Covid shortened year, and the Rangers and Jets were 16th and 17th in terms of goals for this year. I don’t think there’s a big difference in their scoring ability. Scheifele’s give a shit meter seems stuck on low recently though.
All I’m saying is there’s a general trend that rush specialists usually struggle in the playoffs, Connor is exactly that. He’s a completely different player when Winnipeg is trying to claw back into games. His career playoff production doesn’t paint a pretty picture either.Connor has been within a point of PPG in the playoffs twice, and put up 10 points in his sophomore season in 17 games. I really don't think there's much of a knock on his production come the playoffs. If you're focusing on the covid play-ins where the Jets lost Scheifele and Laine in game one of the series, if memory serves me right I think Blake Wheeler moved to center to play out the series because all we had for depth there was Lowry and Copp since Little was injured and Stastny was back in Vegas. That team was awful and gutted from losing their blue line in the off season. The writing was on the wall before the first game of the series even finished.
With that being said, you can't even compare Bratt's impact to Connor's in the playoffs because he's only played a single playoff game in five seasons. It's a strange argument to make considering you have no data to support it. He could hypothetically be anywhere on the spectrum of playoff performers and unless he completely blows the roof off when he does make it, you'd want to see some sort of consistency there before making any sort of judgment on his playoff performance abilities. My guess is with the Devils trending up with their young talent and him already establishing himself as an up and coming player that when NJD do make it, he's one of their more impactful performers. Bearing in mind he'll be 24 this season, and long past the bumps in the road that a player takes during his developmental years, I'd expect his playoff "PPG" type numbers to look good in the playoffs over the next 5-7 years assuming New Jersey can force their way into the playoff picture out East. Regardless of all the hypothetical mumbo jumbo, Kyle Connor is just the better player up to this point in time.
Nope you guys are lost. Batherson vs Bratt pretty even poll. In no world does any sens fan think Batherson is better than Connor.I think you might be projecting here - Sens fans are easily some of the most deranged when it comes to their own team, even before the moves this summer.

I'm not defending anything, just pointing out your sweeping generalization seems more borne out of trying to shunt your Sens fans' reputation onto someone else.Nope you guys are lost. Batherson vs Bratt pretty even poll. In no world does any sens fan think Batherson is better than Connor.
171 to 25 is the current vote in this one. Almost all 25 are Devils fans. But here you are defending it..... Projecting indeed.
Maybe some are but habs and canucks fans on here are definitely worse. I saw some things like 2nd overall and holtz for jt Miller/josh andersonOnly been on HF for a few months and I feel like Devils fans are the most delusional here. And thats not just because of this poll. You would think that team won the cup with how highly they are talked up
As a Devils fan I can relate, sometimes I say nice thing about the rangers and it just feels...wrongThis is against the law kinda cause I am a NYR fan but Bratt is really, really underrated
hate the little f***er everytime we play them
Connor has always had deficiencies in his two way game but he's a great goalscorer. I go with Bratt slightly but they're both very good
