Only been on HF for a few months and I feel like Devils fans are the most delusional here. And thats not just because of this poll. You would think that team won the cup with how highly they are talked up
Oh come on, please give examples. Everyone overrates their team's players, you just read a couple of trade proposals here and came to this conclusion. The trade proposals sub is a mess, there's not a single thread where both fanbases agree. Draft is another one that will cause war between whatever two fanbases, especially #1 vs #2 picks. The Devils have been terrible since their last cup final 10 years ago, and the fanbase has been pretty critical about the team, coaching, management, owners and 90% of the players in the team. Now that there's finally some hope in promising prospects and actually good players like Bratt and Hughes, naturally some are gonna wanna mention them to show that the team is not all trash. Once you spend more time here and find yourself against other fanbases, you'll realize it's all the same.
And to get back on topic, it's hard to argue against almost 50goal scorer 90pts player. I'm not saying Bratt is a better player, but there's more to hockey than just pts. Bratt is statistically one of the best 5v5 players in the league, his advanced stats are off the charts in a terrible bottom5 team and he's a play driver that make his linemates better. If you've never really watched him play and only see the points, it's understandable to think he's nothing special.
