No carcillo is the spare . So we all realize Dorsett is playing well right?

Ik Dorsett has been playing well, no complaints from me about him but I figured AV might think more highly of Carcillo. I'd honestly be fine with either as long they don't take unnecessary penalties

Last night's win was big. Hopefully we can get by the Pens without him and have him ready for the conference finals. He should have fresh legs when he returns. Seems like he was hitting the wall around the time he got hurt.

I'd take Carcillo over nash but not dorsett. That's how bad nash has been.

Nash has been playing great, he's just not scoring. There's more to the game than scoring.

[Cue the "Nash is paid to score" response]. Yes, he's paid to score. But just because he's not scoring, that doesn't mean he's been bad. I actually criticize Nash often due to his compete level, but he has really been busting it, even hitting [!] and creating chances. I have no complaints other than finishing. Doesn't mean he's been bad.

Are you? Or are you another mongoloid that thinks Nash should be benched?

defaming the mongoloids are we? Nash has been play well in our zone but his play in the offensive zone has tended to resemble one great period but with no results and two horrible periods of uninspired turn overs.

Didn't Nash play well in the regular season with Stepan and Kreider? I'd like to see those three reunited. I'd also go for Kreider-Stepan-MSL and trying a line of Boyle-Moore-Nash. Moore is creating so many chances on that line and Boyle can't capitalize (one empty netter). Boyle could really make some room for Nasher there. so just when does Kreider come back? I'm guessing in 1 week? Shouldn't rush him back in the lineup if he can't shoot 90%. 100% is probably an unlikely expectation.

I'd just like to see a 2nd effort more often out of somebody making 8 Million a year ...he does not have to score every game...just make his shifts hard for opposition D to defend against...wear them down physically ...battle for the puck behind the net...and in the crease . If he does that every shift we would all be delighted . Look at Zucc...battles like CRAZY at half the size .

Opponents know CK's hand is weak (even if playable). Chances are they'll slash it whenever they get the chance. No need to risk exacerbating an injury and threatening the career of such a promising forward. I'd even consider sitting out until next season.

Broken bones don't work like that. When healed, they are stronger than before they were broken. IF he is healed, he can and should play.

That's actually a myth.

I'd hate to see him injure it again, but if he is comfortable with the possibility of getting slashed there or taking a puck off the glove or something, I'd love to see him back. We could certainly use as much offense as we can get.

Kreider won't be allowed to play until he is 100%. Management told Kreider to have the hand surgery. He wanted to play with the injury but more damage could have been done by continuing to play. Management took a long range view and had Kreider have the surgery. Net presence on the PP. Kreider lost his PP time when MSL was acquired. The Rangers have zero net presence. You watch all of these games. Some teams have more than one player in front of the net. Maybe Kreider can be play later in the series.

Kreids value was his speed that helped open up his linemates (whomever they were) and his net presence which is missed on this horrific PP. Nash should be taken OFF the PP altogether, as he is worse than what Torts said about Hagelin. His decision making is horrific in O zone and VERY slow, I might add.

Re-breaking a hand will heal over the summer. The Rangers are in the second round of the playoffs, so everyone who can play should. You never know how many shots in the playoffs you will get.

He offered to play through it the rest of the season which probably would have ended up worse. That Phoenix game was a indication of how much it affected his play. It actually worked out good because it seems like he is not far from returning and he will be fresh against a tough team like boston/montreal

Again Kreider showing daily improvement with strength on passes. More strength on forehand too.

#NYR #PIT Vigneault said injured forward Chris Kreider (left hand) is "looking better," Will he be available this series? "I don't know."

I doubt AV will reveal Kreider's status until around gametime when he returns.

It feels to me like we're looking at a game 5 return. Possibly game 4, but unlikely IMO.

Thats what I thought an optimistic return would be, but it seems his hand is healed already and gaining strength in it again if he has jumped so fast from "softer than soft" and already improving quite a bit.
