Part of the sad return is that everyone knew the Rangers were under the gun to move him. Not even a "well we can hold onto him if we don't get an offer we like" situation like last year.
Would I be wrong that.....had the Rangers cut bait with Sammy, this Kravtsov trade could have been avoided, at least temporarily?
Just wondering. I mean, this isn't the 1st rodeo with similar situation in mishandling a supposed asset.

I'll be curious to see if he gets a real shot in Vancouver and what he does with it if he gets it. Given all his dramatics, I can't really blame the team for moving on but we've been getting roasted over the past several years at this point giving away guys who no matter how good or bad they are here, improve elsewhere: JT Miller, Pionk, Zuccarello, Skjei, Buchnevich, Georgiev, Barron, Howden, Ryan Graves, even Marc Staal was better after he left... I guess it just happens, but damn, can somebody just leave here and continue sucking elsewhere for once?
Nice list, huh? JT grew up, Buch was a rising star (we knew it) but we NEEDED toughness, right?
Pionk for Trouba hmmm.
Zucch was great for us, but found a better soulmate.
I KNEW Brady would improve greatly but we would have possibly lost Kreider .......right?
Graves was unecessary
Jury's not out on Barron
Georgiev sucks, in ways I cannot speak of but thrilled we got rid of the original cancer.
Howden still in league? Lol
Marc expired here unfortunately, but happy he is still chugging.

Terrible return. The entire way they dealt with Kravtsov is the reason for the cruddy return.

I really am starting to wish we still had the old management in place. These new ones just trade away assets like Tampa Bay and that's scary because we aren't really contenders.

I think Krav can flourish in Vancouver. Wouldn't be shocked if he ended up becoming a regular top 6 there eventually. And we get..... rotten beans.

I think he played around 8 minutes last night.

Both sides to blame but the Rangers completely mismanaged this situation.

Oh well.
Yeah, the Rangers expected him to behave like he was over the age of 12. Morons.

The sad return is proof that no one wanted him.

Interesting that in a tight game VAN mostly benched him in the third.
I read some of the Van game thread. It was interesting that some said he looked out of shape. That is surprising for 2 reasons. One is he only played 8 minutes. Two is if you are not playing instead of standing around or just shooting pucks you can invest your time in to skating and bike riding for hours a day to get in top shape.
