The likelihood of the Guentzel, Buchnevich Or Vatrano tier is probably low. But there's usually plenty of top 6-9 wingers available. Doesn't have to be some all star at all. But someone with better offensive instincts to Iafallo.

It's to late but I wish Barron would've gotten some burn there just to see.

Jets played good, Helle not so much. I'm not too worried about adding players at this point, I guess it can't hurt tho. I think Perfetti will bounce back and be a solid top 6er this year once he gets another chance at it. I'd kinda rather see Perfetti in the top 6 then some random rental like Eberle.

Well there goes 1 game in hand. Helle kinda smelly tonight. Way to far in his net on the 4th goal. He's been kinda meh as of late.

Helle had a very bad game, and rarely does he let one in, right thru the pads, in the 5 hole. Hopefully he gets back to his regular self soon. Actually Brossoit has been better as of late. I'm sure Helle will get his game together, as he's a real competitor.

Check out time was noon. They probably got 15 minutes extra sleep in the hotel lobby chairs before getting booted out. Then they got lost in the underground hell-hole but finally found a coffee shop at TNSE. Fools and Horses was out of croissants though.


I read on TSN that they were 1-3-2.

Jets played a good game, bit of an off night for Helle - can't be too upset.

Most nights is agree with you on kc. But what stood out so bad tonight? He wasn't good on the PP, but effort wise what play(s)?

They aren't top 6 players. Only so long you can masquerade as one before your true ability shines through.


Thought Cole started doing more with the puck the back half of the game but he's still fighting confidence a bit. Hope he can get that sorted out as we may need him in the top 6 again before too long.

If Chevy thinks that this team has a chance to get into the final four than he need to swing for the fences on the best rental or player with term that is available. Doesn't have to give up the farm for a rental but to get somebody with term you have to give up somebodies. Is the short term gain worth it, we should find out in less than 48 hours

Well I`m upset with the loss... . I wonder if we could have possibly made it any easier for a team that just flew in the afternnoon of the game. Did the Jet`s take their man physically or make an effort to finish their checks hard to effectively wear out a tired team? Not a chance - even our 3rd line which prides itself on being hard to play against seemed to take the entire night off and instead try to finess a win. This team was not prepared properly for this game and clearly thought they had to only show up to win.

KC is such a limited player but he just needs that one chance to break a game open.

In all honesty I think it's more about him then who else they have on the line with him and Mark.

He needs a nz driver which is why Names has been fine in that role imo. But his limitations really limit what you can do with that top line if he's one it.

We've seen Mark have a lot of success the last few years with combos that didn't include KC. Mark doesn't need a driver but Mark with KC does.

Idk if all giveaways are necessarily chalked up to effort. But i guess was more asking on the egregious defensive plays which are pretty typical for him.

which is exactly why we need to go out and get somebody tomorrow, they are good plays that can play up for a game or 2 but aren't long term solutions and with vilardi getting hurt often we will need somebody to at least keep one of them out of our top 6

It would have to be the right winger. If it's a player like Zuker it's just more of the same..

Don’t remember the Jets giving up as many odd man rushes as they did in this game. Poor D pinches with no F support. They need to tighten that up before playoffs.

My priority would be getting a RHD that can play up or down the lineup, hopefully pushing Pionk down the lineup. A better DeMelo, if that player is available.
