He's a perfectly serviceable bottom pairing dman, but we really need to make space on defense right now. I expect to see a few more guys go this summer. A 4th is about right, can't ask for much more, we got him for free initially, so it's all bonus.

The only time I got frustrated with him was when he was playing too many minutes against top competition. I think in a defined role he can be a really useful asset.
Feel like we lost the trade in a vacuum, but it's just a reality of having so many awesome young Dmen.

The right side of our defense was too weak last year, they needed to make room so they trade Kovy because they'll sign Carrier or Roy and sent back Guhle on the left side.

He turned a waiver pick up into a 4th rounder. He got something for someone they got for free.
We picked him offer waivers for free.....a 4rounder and a extra 760,000 cap space.
He is good guy , him the the press box isn't fair to him.....

Habs got him for free on waivers and he was a stop gap. The 4th is actually profit.
If they were agile enough to do that kind of trade, they would have done it yesterday.

Every year is difference. Clearly, they didn't think players yesterday deserved it. Maybe it,s not the same for 2026.
